Pray to the Lord for a loving heart!

 

1 Corinthians 13:1~13

 

God showed us the way of love. By sending us Jesus Christ, God proved His love for us( Rom. 5:7~10 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life). We too must practice love through true sacrifice and servitude rather than empty words.

 

Offering relief without love, or being passionate about religious affairs without love, are a waste of money and vain labor that merely wears us down. If we are feeling tempeted to put ourselves out in this way for the sake of showing off, then we must swiftly pray to the Lord for a loving heart.

 

Lord, help us to spend today practicing love like Jesus, who is the model of love.
