God who gives victory

 

Joshua 10:16-28

 

25 Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, but be strong and courageous; for the Lord will do this to all your enemies who fight against you.”

 

God is the One who defeats all the enemies we fight against. Don't be afraid, don't be alarmed, be strong and brave.

Are you tired of fighting against the evil spirit of the times that opposes God and want to avoid it? Jesus has already bruised Satan's head (Genesis 3:15). God will cause Satan to be trampled under our feet (Romans 16:20).

 

Although Joshua has already decided whether the war will be won or lost, he does not slacken his reins until the enemy is completely destroyed. We are more faithful because it is God's will, and we do our best because it is the victory God has given us (verse 25). Don’t you live with a complacent attitude because you think things will happen according to God’s will anyway? God's will is done, but there is no reward for lazy servants.

 

Let us trust in God, who gives us victory, and go forward boldly without fear and achieve victory! And let us not be lazy and serve the Lord with zeal!
