지난 주에 어떻게 보냈나요? How did you spend last week?

 

11월의 주제는 ‘거룩한 일꾼이 되기 위하여’입니다(1주 ‘헛된 논쟁에서 벗어나라’, 2주 ‘거짓 교사들을 분별하라’, 3주 ‘자신을 힘써 주께 드리라’, 4주 ‘세상의 풍조를 좇지 말라’). The theme for November is 'To become a holy worker' (Week 1 'Away from vain arguments', Week 2 'Discern false teachers', Week 3 'Strive to give yourself to the Lord', Week 4 'Do not pursue the trend of the world'). 그리스도인은 그저 살아가는 이들이 아니라, 하나님의 일꾼으로서 각자에게 주어진 사명을 감당하는 존재입니다. Christians are not just people who live, but are workers of God who carry out the mission given to each of them. 우리가 거룩한 일꾼이 되기 위하여 유념해야 할 교훈을 한 달간 살펴보겠습니다. Let's take a month to look at the lessons we need to keep in mind to become holy workers.

 

□말씀과 나눔 The Word and Sharing

1. 교회는 ‘다른 교훈’을 경계해야 합니다(1~7절).

1. The church must be wary of ‘different teachings’ (verses 1-7).

1) 바울이 디모데를 에베소에 머물게 한 이유는 무엇입니까?(3~4절)

1) Why did Paul let Timothy stay in Ephesus? (verses 3-4)

3 내가 마게도냐로 갈 때에 너를 권하여 에베소에 머물라 한 것은 어떤 사람들을 명하여 다른 교훈을 가르치지 말며

4 신화와 끝없는 족보에 몰두하지 말게 하려 함이라 이런 것은 믿음 안에 있는 하나님의 경륜을 이룸보다 도리어 변론을 내는 것이라

3 When I was going into Macedonia, I urged you to stay at Ephesus, commanding certain people not to teach a different doctrine.

4 So that you do not get caught up in myths and endless genealogies, which are more like arguments than carrying out God’s plan in faith.

바울이 디모데를 에베소에 머물게 한 이유는 어떤 사람들을 명하여 다른 교훈을 가르치지 말며 신화와 끝없는 족보에 몰두하지 말게 하려는 것입니다.

The reason Paul had Timothy stay in Ephesus was to command some people not to teach other doctrines and not to be preoccupied with myths and endless genealogies.

 

2) 바울이 금하는 ‘다른 교훈’은 어떤 결과를 초래합니까?(4절)

4 신화와 끝없는 족보에 몰두하지 말게 하려 함이라 이런 것은 믿음 안에 있는 하나님의 경륜을 이룸보다 도리어 변론을 내는 것이라

4 So that you do not get caught up in myths and endless genealogies, which are more like arguments than carrying out God’s plan in faith.

바울이 금하는 ‘다른 교훈’은 믿음 안에 있는 하나님의 경륜을 이룸보다 도리어 변론을 초래합니다.

The ‘other teachings’ that Paul prohibits bring about controversy rather than achieving God’s plan in faith.

 

3) 바른 교훈의 목적은 무엇입니까?(5절)

3) What is the purpose of correct(sound) teaching? (verse 5)

5 이 교훈의 목적은 청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑이거늘

5 The goal of this teaching is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

바른 교훈의 목적은 청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑입니다. The purpose of sound teaching is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith.

 

<나눔 1> 디모데는 에베소 교회가 거짓 교훈에서 벗어나도록 지도할 책무를 받았습니다. <Sharing 1> Timothy was given the responsibility to guide the church in Ephesus to break away from false teachings. 이처럼 하나님의 일꾼은 교회를 올바른 방향으로 이끌 책임이 있습니다. In this way, God's workers have the responsibility to lead the church in the right direction. 거룩한 교회를 세우기 위해 우리가 헌신해야 할 일은 무엇입니까? What must we do to build a holy church?

성도들이 거짓 가르침에 미혹되지 않고 올바른 가르침을 받을 수 있도록 연구하고 전해야 합니다. We must study and preach so that believers can receive correct teachings without being deceived by false teachings.

 

<나눔 2> 거짓 교사들은 신앙의 본질적인 교훈을 도외시한 채, 의미 없는 논쟁을 일삼으며 지적 우월함을 뽐냈습니다. <Sharing 2> False teachers ignored the essential teachings of faith and boasted of their intellectual superiority by engaging in meaningless arguments. 우리 공동체 안에서도 불필요한 논쟁이나 다툼을 일으키는 요소가 있는지 살펴보고, 있다면 어떻게 해결할 수 있을지 이야기해 봅시다. Let’s look into whether there are elements that cause unnecessary arguments or fights within our community, and if so, let’s talk about how we can resolve them.

 

바른 교훈의 목적은 청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑이라는 것을 마음에 새기며 진정한 사랑의 마음으로 대화하여 논쟁을 피하도록 해야 할 것입니다.

We must keep in mind that the purpose of sound teaching is love that comes from a clean heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith, and we must avoid arguments by communicating with a heart of true love.

 

2. 율법은 적법하게 쓸 때 선한 것이 됩니다(8~11절).

2. The law becomes good when it is used lawfully (verses 8-11).

1) 율법은 누구를 위한 것입니까?(9~10절)

1) Who is the law for? (verses 9-10)

9 알 것은 이것이니 율법은 옳은 사람을 위하여 세운 것이 아니요 오직 불법한 자와 복종하지 아니하는 자와 경건하지 아니한 자와 죄인과 거룩하지 아니한 자와 망령된 자와 아버지를 죽이는 자와 어머니를 죽이는 자와 살인하는 자며

10 음행하는 자와 남색하는 자와 인신 매매를 하는 자와 거짓말하는 자와 거짓맹세하는 자와 기타 바른 교훈을 거스르는 자를 위함이니

9 Know this, that the law is not made for the righteous, but for the lawless, for the disobedient, for the ungodly, for sinners, for the unholy, for the profane, for those who kill their fathers and for those who kill their mothers. And a murderer

10 For those who are sexually immoral, sexually promiscuous, traffickers, liars, swearers, and others who go against sound doctrine.

 

율법은 바른 교훈을 거스르는 자들을 위한 것입니다.

The law is for those who go against sound doctrine.

 

2) 바른 교훈은 무엇을 따르는 것입니까?(11절)

2) What is the correct teaching to follow? (verse 11)

11 이 교훈은 내게 맡기신 바 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음을 따름이니라

11 This doctrine is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was entrusted to me.

바른 교훈은 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음 따르는 것입니다.

The correct teaching is to follow the glorious gospel of the blessed God.

<나눔 3> 율법은 논쟁을 위해서가 아니라 거룩한 삶, 곧 복되신 하나님의 복음과 그리스도를 따르는 삶을 위해 주어졌습니다. <Sharing 3> The law was not given for debate, but for a holy life, a life that follows the gospel of the blessed God and Christ. 말씀이 내 안에서 제대로 작동하여 거룩한 삶의 실천으로 이어지도록 어떤 노력을 기울이고 있는지 나눠봅시다. Let’s share what efforts we are making so that the Word can function properly within us and lead to the practice of a holy life.

말씀이 내 안에서 제대로 작동하여 거룩한 삶의 실천으로 이어지도록 날마다 하나님의 말씀을 즐거워하여 주야로 묵상하여 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻을 분별하고 그 뜻에 순종하기를 더욱 힘써야 할 것입니다.

In order for the Word to function properly within us and lead to the practice of a holy life, we must enjoy the Word of God every day, meditate on it day and night, discern God's good, pleasing, and perfect will, and make every effort to obey that will.

주여, 거짓 교리를 분별하고 말씀을 바르게 살아갈 수 있도록 도와주옵소서.

Lord, help us to discern false doctrine and live out the Word in the right way.

 

불필요한 논쟁이나 다툼을 일으키지 않도록 바른 교훈의 목적은 청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑이라는 것을 마음에 새기며 진정한 사랑의 마음으로 대화하여 논쟁을 피하도록 저희를 도우소서!

Please help us avoid arguments by communicating with a heart of true love, keeping in mind that the purpose of sound teaching is love that comes from a clean heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith, so as not to cause unnecessary arguments or fights!

 

말씀이 우리 안에서 제대로 작동하여 거룩한 삶의 실천으로 이어지도록 날마다 하나님의 말씀을 즐거워하여 주야로 묵상함으로 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻을 분별하고 그 뜻에 순종하게 하소서!

Let us enjoy the Word of God every day and meditate on it day and night so that the Word can function properly within us and lead to the practice of a holy life, so that we can discern God's good, pleasing, and perfect will and obey it!
