아프고 슬픈 일은 모든 사람에게 일어나지만, 그것을 받아들이는 자세는 저마다 다릅니다. Painful and sad things happen to everyone, but each person has a different attitude toward accepting them. 어떤 이는 그저 절망하고, 또 어떤 이는 남을 원망하며 자기 삶을 한탄합니다. Some people simply despair, while others blame others and lament their lives. 그리하여 안락사(安樂死)의 극단적인 선택을 하기도 합니다. Therefore, they sometimes make the extreme choice of euthanasia. 반면에 극단적인 낙관론으로 슬픔을 지우고 희망만 말하는 이도 있습니다. On the other hand, there are people who erase sadness with extreme optimism and only speak of hope. 여기 바벨론의 손에 폐허가 된 예루살렘을 바라보며 한탄하는 선지자가 있습니다. Here is a prophet lamenting as he looks at Jerusalem, which is in ruins under the hands of Babylon. 그의 애가(哀歌)는 처참한 현실에서 비롯된 슬픔으로 가득하지만, 절망에만 머물러 있지 않습니다. His laments are full of sadness stemming from the miserable reality, but he does not remain in despair. 그는 이 모든 것이 하나님의 징벌임을 인정하고 하나님 앞에 지은 죄를 자백하며, 원수를 향해 심판하시기를 간구합니다. He acknowledges that all of this is God's punishment, confesses his sins before God, and asks God to judge his enemies. 선지자의 ‘눈물의 탄식’은 ‘반성(反省)의 회개’와 ‘공의의 간구’로 이어집니다. The prophet’s ‘Lament of tears’ leads to ‘repentance of self-reflection’ and ‘plea for justice.’

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 시온(예루살렘)이 자신의 멸망에 무심한 자들을 향해 탄식합니다(12~16절).

1. Zion (Jerusalem) laments over those who are indifferent to its destruction (verses 12-16).

1) ‘나’(시온)를 괴롭게 한 이는 누구입니까?(12절)

1) Who is the one who has tormented ‘me’ (Zion)? (verse 12)

12 지나가는 모든 사람들이여 너희에게는 관계가 없는가 나의 고통과 같은 고통이 있는가 볼지어다 여호와께서 그의 진노하신 날에 나를 괴롭게 하신 것이로다

12 All you who pass by, see if there is any pain like mine, for the LORD has afflicted me in the day of his anger.

여호와께서 그의 진노하신 날에 나를 괴롭게 하신 것입니다.

The LORD has afflicted me in the day of his anger.

2) 주께서 ‘나’(시온)를 ‘감당할 수 없는 자’의 손에 넘기신 이유는 무엇입니까?(14절) 2) Why did the Lord hand over ‘me’ (Zion) into the hands of ‘one who cannot bear it’? (verse 14)

14 내 죄악의 멍에를 그의 손으로 묶고 얽어 내 목에 올리사 내 힘을 피곤하게 하셨음이여 내가 감당할 수 없는 자의 손에 주께서 나를 넘기셨도다

14 With his hands he has bound and entangled the yoke of my iniquities; he has laid them on my neck; he has exhausted my strength; he has delivered me into the hands of those beyond whom I could not bear.

내 죄악 때문에 주께서 나를 감당할 수 없는 자의 손에 넘기셨습니다.

Because of my iniquities LORD have delivered me into the hands of those who cannot bear me.

<나눔 1> 선지자는 고통스러운 현실에 탄식하면서도 이 고통이 하나님을 향한 반역 때문에 발생했다는 것 또한 인정했습니다. <Sharing 1> The prophet lamented the painful reality, but also acknowledged that this pain was caused by rebellion against God. 자기 죄에 대한 인정과 회개가 빠진 탄식은 사람을 더 비참하게 만들 뿐입니다. Lament without acknowledgment and repentance of one's sins only makes people more miserable. 하나님의 징계 앞에서 어떻게 반응하고 있는지 서로 나눠봅시다. Let’s share with each other how we are responding to God’s discipline.

자신을 돌아보며 진정한 회개와 함께 하나님의 자비와 공의가 실현되기를 구해야 합니다. We must reflect on ourselves and seek true repentance and for God's mercy and justice to be realized.

 

2. 시온이 하나님에게 원수를 공의로 심판해달라고 간구합니다(17~22절).

2. Zion asks God to judge the enemy with justice (verses 17-22).

1) 시온이 손을 벌렸을 때, 주위 민족들은 어떻게 반응합니까?(17절)

1) When Zion opens her hands, how do the surrounding peoples react? (verse 17)

17 시온이 두 손을 폈으나 그를 위로할 자가 없도다 여호와께서 야곱의 사방에 있는 자들에게 명령하여 야곱의 대적들이 되게 하셨으니 예루살렘은 그들 가운데에 있는 불결한 자가 되었도다

17 Zion has stretched out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has commanded those around Jacob to be his enemies; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing in their midst.

시온이 두 손을 폈으나 그를 위로할 자가 없었습니다. 그들은 야곱의 대적들이 되었습니다. Zion spread out her hands, but there was no one to comfort her. They became Jacob's enemies.

 

2) 시온이 고통당하는 중에도 인정하며 고백하는 것은 무엇입니까?(18절)

2) What does Zion acknowledge and confess even while it is suffering? (verse 18)

18 여호와는 의로우시도다 그러나 내가 그의 명령을 거역하였도다 너희 모든 백성들아 내 말을 듣고 내 고통을 볼지어다 나의 처녀들과 나의 청년들이 사로잡혀 갔도다

18 The LORD is righteous; but I have rebelled against his commandments. Hear me, all you people, and see my torment. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

시온이 고통당하는 중에도 여호와는 의로우시며 자신은 그분의 명령을 거역하였음을 고백합니다. Even in the midst of Zion's suffering, she confesses that Jehovah is righteous and that she has disobeyed His commands.

 

 

3. 시온은 원수들을 어떻게 해달라고 간구합니까?(21~22절)

3. What does Zion ask to do to its enemies? (verses 21-22)

21 그들이 내가 탄식하는 것을 들었으나 나를 위로하는 자가 없으며 나의 모든 원수들은 내가 재난 당하는 것을 듣고 주께서 이렇게 행하신 것을 기뻐하나이다 그러나 주께서 그 선포하신 날을 이르게 하셔서 그들이 나와 같이 되게 하소서

22 그들의 모든 악을 주 앞에 가지고 오게 하시고 나의 모든 죄악들로 말미암아 내게 행하신 것 같이 그들에게 행하옵소서 나의 탄식이 많고 나의 마음이 병들었나이다

21 They have heard my groaning, but no one comforts me. All my enemies have heard that I am afflicted, and rejoice that you have done this. But let the day you have announced come, that they may become like me.

22 Bring all their wickedness before you; do to them as you have done to me for all my iniquities, for my groaning is many and my soul is sick.

시온은 “모든 원수들이 나와 같이 되게 하소서! 나의 모든 죄악들로 말미암아 내게 행하신 것 같이 그들에게 행하옵소서!”라고 간구합니다.

Zion says, “Let all my enemies become like me! Do to them as You have done to me for all my sins!”

 

<나눔 2> 사방이 막혀 어떤 이의 도움도 기대할 수 없는 순간은 하나님에게 도움의 손을 내밀어야 하는 때입니다. <Sharing 2> The moment when everything is blocked and you cannot expect help from anyone is the time to reach out to God for help. 모든 활로가 차단된 것 같은 곤경에 처했던 경험과 거기서 만난 하나님의 구원을 이야기해봅시다. Let’s talk about the experience of being in a predicament where all avenues of escape seemed cut off, and the salvation we received from God there.

20여년 전 처음 파키스탄에 홀로 갔을 때, 캄캄한 밤에 홀로 공항에 있을 때 오직 하나님께 기도하며 참된 평안을 얻고 동역자를 만날 수 있었습니다.

When I first went to Pakistan alone about 20 years ago, I was able to find true peace and meet co-workers only by praying to God while I was alone at the airport in the dark of night.

<나눔 3> 그리스도인이 타인을 심판해달라고 간청하는 것은 매우 조심스러운 일입니다. <Sharing 3> It is very cautious for Christians to ask others to judge them. 하지만 때로는 불의하고 악한 세력을 심판하시기를 요청하는 기도도 필요합니다(참조 시편 10:5~13; 58:6~9). However, sometimes it is necessary to pray for judgment on unrighteous and evil forces (see Psalm 10:5-13; 58:6-9). 악한 일들이 사라지고 하나님의 정의가 구현되기 위해, 우리가 드려야 하는 기도는 무엇인지 나누고 함께 기도합시다. In order for evil things to disappear and God's justice to be realized, let's share what prayers we need to pray and pray together.

하나님께서 불의하고 악한 세력을 공의로 심판하셔서 악한 이들이 사라지고 하나님의 정의가 구현되도록 우리는 기도해야 합니다.

We must pray that God will judge unrighteous and evil forces with justice so that the evil people will disappear and God's justice will be realized.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's pray together

주여, 징계하실 때 겸손히 죄를 인정하고 회개할 수 있도록 도와주옵소서.

Lord, help us to humbly acknowledge our sins and repent when You discipline us.

저희가 사방이 막혀 어떤 이의 도움도 기대할 수 없는 순간에 오직 하나님만을 의지하여 구원을 얻게 하소서!

At the moment when we are blocked on all sides and cannot expect help from anyone, help us to rely only on God for salvation!

부디 불의하고 악한 세력을 공의로 심판하셔서 악한 이들이 사라지고 하나님의 공의가 실현되게 하소서!

Please judge the unrighteous and evil forces with justice so that the evil people disappear and God’s justice is realized!
