Let us continue the legacy and habits of good faith.

 

2 Kings 23:31–24:7

 

Josiah's reforms were not continued in the next generation, and Josiah's sons did evil in the sight of the Lord and followed the evil ways of Manasseh, shedding innocent blood and relying on Egypt rather than God. The kings were killed and the kingdom was destroyed. The energy goes down the path of downfall.

 

We must continue our good heritage and habits of faith. Israel falls on the path of destruction because their children cannot continue the legacy of good faith of Hezekiah and Josiah. We must not only continue the legacy and habits of good faith, but also set an example and teach our children and the next generation so that they can continue the legacy and habits of good faith.

 

We must rely only on God. God fulfilled his judgment to punish Manasseh's evil deeds and Judah's sins by destroying Judah, who depended on Egypt, through Babylon. We must keep in mind that nothing can protect us from God's judgment other than repenting of our sins and relying only on Jesus.

 

God, help us repent of our sins and rely only on Jesus! Let us continue our legacy and habits of good faith and set an example and teach the next generation!
