2 Kings 23:1-3
When you are sick, your doctor first examines your body carefully with a stethoscope to determine exactly where and how it hurts, and then treats you. The people of Judah, southern Israel, who had neglected the word of God and lived a wrong life for a long time, were like sick patients. King Josiah spoke the word of God to the people of Judah so that they could realize the mistakes they had made before God. The people of Judah promised to correct their wrong ways before God and to keep God's word. We must examine our hearts and lives through God's word to see if there are any aspects that need to be corrected, repent, and correct our lives.
