문제를 해결하기 위해서는 드러난 표층보다 드러나지 않은 심층을 들여다보아야 합니다. In order to solve a problem, we must look deeper into the hidden depths rather than the revealed surface layer. 근본적인 문제를 고치지 못한 해결책은 오래가지 못하는 법입니다. A solution that fails to fix the fundamental problem will not last long. 악한 자라 할지라도 궁지에 몰리면 하나님께 매달길 수 있습니다. Even evil people can cling to God when they are cornered. 때로 하나님은 악인의 간구를 들으시고 긍휼을 베푸십니다. Sometimes God listens to the prayers of the wicked and shows mercy. 그러나 잠시 호전된 상황은 온전한 회복을 의미하지 않습니다. However, a temporary improvement in the situation does not mean full recovery. 죄가 제거되어야 문제가 바로잡히고, 신앙이 회복되어야 삶이 회복됩니다. Only when sin is removed can problems be corrected, and when faith is restored, life can be restored.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 예후의 아들 여호아하스가 왕이 되어 북 이스라엘을 다스립니다(1~4절). 1. Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, becomes king and rules over northern Israel (verses 1-4).

1) 여호아하스는 어떤 왕이었습니까?(2절) 1) What kind of king was Jehoahaz? (verse 2)

2 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 따라가고 거기서 떠나지 아니하였으므로

2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he followed in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin, and did not depart from them.

 

여호아하스 왕은 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 따라가고 거기서 떠나지 아니하였으므로 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하였습니다. King Jehoahaz did evil in the sight of the Lord because he followed in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin, and did not turn away from them.

 

2) 하나님은 이스라엘의 죄악을 어떻게 징계하십니까?(3절) 2) How does God punish Israel for their sins? (verse 3)

3 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 노하사 늘 아람 왕 하사엘의 손과 그의 아들 벤하닷의 손에 넘기셨더니

3 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Aram, and into the hand of Benhadad his son.

 

하나님은 아람 왕 하사엘과 그의 아들의 손에 이스라엘을 넘기심으로 징계하십니다.

God punishes Israel by handing them over to the king of Aram, Hazael, and his son.

 

3) 하나님이 아람의 학대로부터 이스라엘을 건지신 이유는 무엇입니까?(4절) 3) Why did God save Israel from Aram’s abuse? (verse 4)

4 아람 왕이 이스라엘을 학대하므로 여호아하스가 여호와께 간구하매 여호와께서 들으셨으니 이는 그들이 학대받음을 보셨음이라

4 Jehoahaz prayed to the LORD because the king of Aram was oppressing Israel, and the LORD heard him, because he saw that they were oppressed.

 

여호아하스 왕이 여호와께 간구하였으므로 하나님은 아람의 학대로부터 이스라엘을 건지셨습니다.

Because King Jehoahaz prayed to the Lord, God delivered Israel from the oppression of Aram.

<나눔 1> 비록 악한 자라도 돌이켜 하나님 앞에 나아와 간구하면 하나님은 들으십니다. <Sharing 1> Even if you are an evil person, if you turn and come before God and pray, God will listen. 기도는 문제 해결의 열쇠요, 삶의 능력입니다. Prayer is the key to solving problems and the power of life. 오늘 나의 기도 생활은 어떠하니 한 문장으로 정리해 보고, 내가 노력해야 할 점들을 나눠봅시다. What is my prayer life like today? Let’s summarize it in one sentence and share what I need to work on.

할 기도 제목은 많은 데 주문을 외는 듯한 느낌입니다. 성령님의 도우심으로 간절함과 깊이 있는 기도가 필요합니다. There are many prayer topics to pray for, but it feels like chanting a spell. We need earnest and deep prayer with the help of the Holy Spirit.

 

2. 여전히 죄악을 버리지 못한 이스라엘이 멸절당합니다.(5~13절)

2. Israel, which still cannot abandon its sins, is annihilated (verses 5-13).

1)이스라엘 백성이 거의 멸절된 이유는 무엇입니까?(5~7절) 1) Why were the Israelites almost annihilated? (verses 5-7)

5 여호와께서 이에 구원자를 이스라엘에게 주시매 이스라엘 자손이 아람 사람의 손에서 벗어나 전과 같이 자기 장막에 거하였으나

6 그들이 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 여로보암 집의 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 안에서 따라 행하며 또 사마리아에 아세라 목상을 그냥 두었더라

7 아람 왕이 여호아하스의 백성을 멸절하여 타작 마당의 티끌 같이 되게 하고 마병 오십 명과 병거 열 대와 보병 만 명 외에는 여호아하스에게 남겨 두지 아니하였더라

 

5 Then the LORD gave Israel a deliverer, and the children of Israel escaped from the hand of the Aramean and dwelt in their tents as before.

6 They did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, which had caused Israel to sin, but walked in them and left the Asherah pole in Samaria.

7 The king of Aram destroyed the people of Jehoahaz and reduced them to the dust of the threshing floor. He left none left to Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots, and ten thousand foot soldiers.

 

이스라엘 백성들이 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 여로보암 집의 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 안에서 따라 행하며 또 사마리아에 아세라 목상을 그냥 두었으므로 이스라엘은 거의 멸절되었습니다.

Because the Israelites did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, which had caused Israel to sin, but followed them and left the Asherah pole in Samaria, Israel was almost destroyed.

 

2) 여호아하스의 아들 요아스(여호아스)는 어떤 왕이었습니까?(11절)

2) What kind of king was Jehoahaz’s son Joash (Jehoash)? (verse 11)

11 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 가운데 행하였더라

11 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he did not turn away from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to sin, but he walked in them.

 

그의 아버지, 여호아하스와 마찬가지로 요아스(여호아스)도 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 가운데 행하였습니다.

Like his father, Jehoahaz, Joash (Jehoash) did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn away from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.

 

<나눔 2> 잠시 돌이켰으나, 여전히 죄악에서 벗어나지 못한 이스라엘은 결국 커다란 고통 속에 빠집니다. <Sharing 2> Although Israel turned around for a while, it still could not escape its sins and eventually fell into great pain. 우리가 죄의 위험을 알면서도 쉽게 죄를 버리지 못하는 이유는 무엇인지 생각해보고, 죄를 끊어내기 위해 어떤 노력이 필요한지 나눠봅시다. Let's think about why we can't easily give up sin even though we know its dangers, and share what effort is needed to get rid of sin.

 

죄를 끊기 위해서 지체를 자르지는 못하더라도 성령의 불 칼을 내려 주셔서 그 죄를 끊을 수 있도록 기도해야 합니다.

Even if we cannot cut off the members of our body to cut off sin, we must pray for the fiery sword of the Holy Spirit to be given to us so that we can cut off that sin.

 

<나눔 3> 북이스라엘의 죄악은 초대 왕인 여로보암으로부터 시작하여 그 이후의 모든 왕과 백성에게로 퍼졌습니다. <Sharing 3> The sins of Northern Israel started with the first king, Jeroboam, and spread to all kings and people after him. 죄의 영향력은 이처럼 강력하여 시대를 관통하고 사회 전반을 잠식합니다. The influence of sin is so powerful that it penetrates through the ages and erodes society as a whole. 오늘 한국 사회에 그늘을 드리우고 있는 죄악은 어떤 것인지 생각해보고, 그 속에서 우리 역할은 무엇인지 이야기해봅시다. Let’s think about what sins are casting a shadow over Korean society today, and talk about what our role is in them.

 

게임 중독, 왕따, 술 중독, 이혼, 자살, 우상숭배, 이단, 탐욕과 이기심 등의 죄악들이 오늘 한국 사회에 그늘을 드리우고 있는데 크리스찬인 우리들은 예수님의 중보자적인 마음으로 회개하며 죄악들을 끊고 버릴 수 있도록 기도하며 실천해야 합니다.

 

Sins such as game addiction, bullying, alcohol addiction, divorce, suicide, idolatry, heresy, greed, and selfishness are casting a shadow over today's Korean society. As Christians, we can cut off and abandon our sins by repenting with the intercessory heart of Jesus. We must pray and put it into practice.

하나님, 저희가 성령님의 도우심으로 쉬지말고 기도하게 하소서!

God, let us pray without ceasing with the help of the Holy Spirit!

한국, 베트남과 인도 등의 홍수를 통하여 저희의 죄악들을 깨닫고 회개하며 죄에서 돌이키게 하소서!

Through the floods in Korea, Vietnam, and India, help us realize our sins, repent, and turn away from our sins!
