지난 주에 어떻게 지냈나요? How was your last week?

 

살다 보면 누구나 전쟁 같은 상황을 만나기 마련입니다. 두려움과 혼란 속에 성공과 실패를 가늠할 수도 없을 때, 신자가 기억해야 할 진리는 한 가지입니다. ‘전쟁은 하나님께 속한 것’이라는 사실입니다(삼상 17:47). In life, everyone is bound to encounter situations like war. When you are in fear and confusion and cannot gauge success or failure, there is one truth that believers must remember. It is true that ‘war belongs to God’ (1 Samuel 17:47). 우리는 오늘 본문을 통해, 하나님이 그러한 전쟁과 같은 상황에서도 그분의 신실한 종을 보호하실 뿐 아니라, 그 주변까지 복되게 하신다는 사실을 알 수 있습니다. Through today's text, we can see that God not only protects His faithful servants even in such war-like situations, but also blesses those around them.

 

□말씀과 나눔 The Word and Sharing

1. 엘리사가 자신을 찾아온 왕들에게 하나님의 말씀을 전합니다(13~20절).

1. Elisha delivers the word of God to the kings who come to him (verses 13-20).

1) 엘리사가 하나님을 신뢰하지 않는 이스라엘 왕 여호람에게도 하나님의 말씀을 들려주는 이유는 무엇입니까(14절)?

1) Why does Elisha speak the word of God to Jehoram, the king of Israel, who does not trust God (verse 14)?

14 엘리사가 이르되 내가 섬기는 만군의 여호와께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하노니 내가 만일 유다의 왕 여호사밧의 얼굴을 봄이 아니면 그 앞에서 당신을 향하지도 아니하고 보지도 아니하였으리이다

14 And Elisha said, As the LORD Almighty lives, before whom I stand, if I had not seen the face of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not have turned to you or seen you before him.

 

엘리사는 유다 왕 여호사밧의 얼굴을 보아서 이스라엘 왕 여호람에게 하나님의 말씀을 전해 줍니다. Elisha sees the face of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, and delivers the word of God to Jehoram, king of Israel.

 

2) 하나님이 알려주신 전술은 무엇입니까(16절)?

2) What is the strategy that God revealed (verse 16)?

16 그가 이르되 여호와의 말씀이 이 골짜기에 개천을 많이 파라 하셨나이다

16 And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make many streams of water in this valley.

 

하나님이 엘리사를 통해 왕들에게 알려주신 전술은 “이 골짜기에 개천을 많이 파라” 하셨습니다. The strategy that God revealed to the kings through Elisha was, “Dig many streams in this valley.”

 

3) 하나님이 하신 약속은 무엇이며, 그 결과 어떻게 되었습니까(17, 20절)

3) What was the promise God made, and what was the result (verses 17, 20)?

17 여호와께서 이르시기를 너희가 바람도 보지 못하고 비도 보지 못하되 이 골짜기에 물이 가득하여 너희와 너희 가축과 짐승이 마시리라 하셨나이다

20 아침이 되어 소제 드릴 때에 물이 에돔 쪽에서부터 흘러와 그 땅에 가득하였더라

17 For the LORD said, ‘You will not see wind or rain, but the valley will be filled with water, so that you and your livestock and your animals can drink.’

20 In the morning, at the time of the grain offering, water came from Edom and filled the land.

 

 

이 골짜기에 물이 가득하여 너희와 너희 가축과 짐승이 마시리라고 하나님께서 약속하셨습니다.

그 결과 아침이 되어 소제 드릴 때에 물이 에돔 쪽에서부터 흘러와 그 땅에 가득하였습니다.

God promised that this valley would be filled with water so that you and your livestock and your animals could drink.

As a result, in the morning, when the grain offering was being offered, water flowed from Edom and filled the land.

 

<나눔 1> 하나님은 유다의 신실한 왕 여호사밧을 위해 이스라엘 왕과 에돔 왕까지 구원하셨습니다. <Sharing 1> God saved the kings of Israel and Edom for the sake of Jehoshaphat, the faithful king of Judah. 하나님은 자기 백성을 통해 세상을 복되게 하십니다(창 12:3 너를 축복하는 자에게는 내가 복을 내리고 너를 저주하는 자에게는 내가 저주하리니 땅의 모든 족속이 너로 말미암아 복을 얻을 것이라 하신지라). God blesses the world through his people (Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you). 하나님이 나를 통해 내 주위 환경과 사람들을 복되게 하신 적이 있다면 나눠봅시다. Let’s share if there is a time when God blessed the environment and people around me through me.

 

외국인 사역 중 한 공장에서 불이 났으나 기도를 받고 회복되어 더 좋은 곳으로 그 회사가 이사를 간 경우가 있습니다. During our foreign ministry, there was a case where a fire broke out in a factory, but it recovered after receiving prayers and the company moved to a better location.

 

<나눔 2> 하나님은 사람의 도움이 필요하지 않으시지만, 이스라엘 군대에게 구덩이를 파라고 명령하셨습니다. 하나님의 구원 사역에 동참시키는 조치이며, 믿음의 실천을 요구하는 명령입니다.

<Sharing 2> God does not need human help, but he ordered the Israelite army to dig a hole. It is a measure to participate in God's work of salvation, and it is a command that requires the practice of faith. 하나님의 약속을 믿기에 믿음으로 실천해야 하는 삶의 과제는 무엇이 있을지 이야기해봅시다. Since we believe in God's promises, let's talk about what tasks in life we ​​must put into practice with faith.

 

 

새로운 신자를 얻고 그를 양육시키기 위한 전도와 봉사(한글공부, 차량봉사) 그리고 성경공부가 필요합니다.

Evangelism, service (Korean language study, vehicle service), and Bible study are needed to gain new believers and nurture them.

 

2. 하나님의 전술이 이스라엘에 승리를 안겨줍니다(21~27절).

2. God’s strategy give Israel victory (verses 21-27).

1) 모압 군대는 도랑의 물을 보고 어떤 판단을 내립니까?(22~23절)

1) What judgment did the Moabite army make when they saw the water in the pool? (verses 22-23)

 

22 아침에 모압 사람이 일찍이 일어나서 해가 물에 비치므로 맞은편 물이 붉어 피와 같음을 보고

23 이르되 이는 피라 틀림없이 저 왕들이 싸워 서로 죽인 것이로다 모압 사람들아 이제 노략하러 가자 하고

22 When the Moabite rose early in the morning, they saw that the sun was shining on the water, and the water on the other side was red, like blood.

23 They said, “This is blood, for sure the kings fought and killed one another. Now, you Moabites, let’s go and take the plunder.”

 

모압 사람이 해가 물에 비치므로 맞은편 물이 붉어 피와 같음을 보고 이르기를 “이는 피라 틀림없이 저 왕들이 싸워 서로 죽인 것이로다” 하며 “모압 사람들아 이제 노략하러 가자”고 합니다.

When the Moabites saw that the sun was shining on the water and the water on the other side was red and like blood, they said, “This is blood, for sure these kings fought and killed each other.” They said, “Now, men of Moab, let us go for plunder.”

 

2) 이스라엘은 방심한 모압 군대를 어떻게 공격합니까(24~25절)?

2) How does Israel attack the unguarded Moabite army (verses 24-25)?

24 이스라엘 진에 이르니 이스라엘 사람이 일어나 모압 사람을 쳐서 그들 앞에서 도망하게 하고 그 지경에 들어가며 모압 사람을 치고

25 그 성읍들을 쳐서 헐고 각기 돌을 던져 모든 좋은 밭에 가득하게 하고 모든 샘을 메우고 모든 좋은 나무를 베고 길하레셋의 돌들은 남기고 물매꾼이 두루 다니며 치니라

24 When they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up against the Moabites and made them flee before them. Then they entered the border and struck down the Moabites.

25 They struck down the cities and tore them down. Every man threw a stone and filled every good field. He filled up all the springs of water and cut down every good tree. He left the stones of Gilharesheth and the slingshots went around and struck them down.

 

이스라엘은 모압 군대를 쳐서 거의 섬멸했고 성읍들을 초토화했습니다.

Israel attacked the Moabite army, almost annihilating it, and laying waste to its cities.

 

<나눔 3> 도랑을 파는 일은 전쟁의 승리와는 크게 연관이 없어 보였습니다. 그러나 하나님은 그 도랑을 통해 생각지도 못한 방식으로 승리를 안겨주셨습니다. <Sharing 3> Digging ditches did not seem to have much to do with winning the war. However, God gave us victory through that ditch in an unexpected way. 내 생각과 방식을 넘어서는 하나님의 일하심을 경험한 적이 있다면 나눠봅시다. 한 파키스탄 사람의 사무실 이사를 도와주면서 새로운 동역자를 만나서 함께 외국인을 위한 사역을 하고 있습니다. While helping a Pakistani person move his office, I met a new co-worker and together we are doing ministry for foreigners.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's pray together

하나님, ‘전쟁은 하나님께 속한 것’이라는 것을 잊지 않고 하나님을 의지하며 저희에게 주어진 사명을 잘 감당하여 아브라함처럼 복의 통로가 되게 하소서!

God, let us not forget that ‘war belongs to God’ and rely on God to fulfill the mission given to us well, so that we can become channels of blessing like Abraham!

저희 생각을 뛰어넘는 하나님 방법을 인정하는 공동체가 되게 하소서!

Let us become a community that recognizes God’s ways that surpass our thoughts!
