God's grace comes through the kindness we show to one another.

 

2 Kings 4:1-17

 

* God meets the needs of poor widows by filling empty vessels with oil (1-7)

* God gave a son to the Shunammite woman who served Elisha (8-17)

 

God cares for both the poor and the rich. God met the needs of the poor widow and comforted the pain of the rich woman. No one lives a life so perfect that they do not need God's help. Do you have a need or pain? Let us open our hearts to God who loves and cares for us.

 

God's grace comes through the kindness we show to one another (8-17). The sincere service of the Shunammite woman who met Elisha's needs, and Elisha's consideration of the woman's needs in order to return the favor, came together and became a miracle. Do we do favors and repay the kindness of others? God adds grace to it.

 

We open our hearts to God who loves and cares for us. Please meet our needs and comfort our pain! Let us also be kind to each other and overcome difficulties, and may God give us more grace!
