Forgive and Accept Each Other
Philemon 1:17–25
Paul sends Onesimus whom he met in prison to Philemon, the owner of Onesimus, and asks Philemon to receive Onesimus, and promises that if Onesimus has done anything wrong or owed Philemon, Paul will repay him. He said he would not say that he owes Paul what Philemon is today. Paul writes with confidence that Philemon will obey. Paul tells Philemon that he knows what he can do to do more than he tells Philemon, and Paul asks Philemon for accommodation and prayer so he can visit him. Paul greets the co-workers and prays that the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with the spirit of Philemon's family.
Jesus bore our sins and transgressions on the cross. Paul asks Philemon to not only accept Onesimus again, even for his friend, but also to welcome him as warmly as he would. He says he will take responsibility and pay for any damage caused by Onesimus' fault. Like Paul, remember the grace and love of Jesus on the cross, forgive the faults and errors of others, and welcome those who have made a mistake.
Please pray for our family and church members to forgive each other's faults and sins and to welcome those who have done wrong.
