Judges 19:11-21

The Levite was on his way home with his concubine, his servant, and his donkey, and his servant offered to stay overnight in Jebus, but the Levite said, “We cannot enter because it is a foreign city.” So they looked for a place to rest for a day in Gibeah, but the people there were cold and did not accept the Levites. Then an old man accepts them and welcomes them into his home.

The Levite's argument that the chosen people cannot enter a foreign city is persuasive. However, keeping a woman who has committed adultery with him while denying a stranger only underscores his hypocritical faith. Anyone can become a “blind hypocrite” when they are tolerant of themselves and overly strict with others.

An old man living in the land is doing what the people of Gibeah did not do, and he is putting the people of the land to shame. Likewise today, if we do not do the good that Christians ought to do, unbelievers will put us to shame by doing it.

Please pray for our family and church members to give up the idea of ​​a 'narrow-minded hypocrite' who is tolerant to me and overly strict with others, and treats those in need kindly and does good deeds.
