Save me

Save me

Psalm 119:145-160

The poet, who is struggling to hold on to God’s word in the midst of suffering, asks God to save him quickly so that he can freely obey God’s word. The poet wakes up early in the morning and prays to God with tears, meditates on God’s word all night, and waits for the time of salvation. According to God’s word, the poet should be blessed and his enemies should be judged. The poet asks God to save him according to His law. And the poet declares that the word he has kept is true and eternal.

God is closest to me (150-151). No matter how close evil approaches, no matter how hardships reach the skin and bones, God is between me and them. What threats, what pains are you surrounded by? Do not let your worries weigh you down. God holds me in his arms.

In times of suffering, we must seek the Word even more (147-148). The poet prayed earnestly for the Word from dawn and wrestled with the Word all night long because he knew that his only way to live was through the Word. The more difficult things you experience and the more tiring life becomes, the more you should cling to the Word. The Word will hold you.

Lord, allow us to resist the temptations and threats of the wicked, and abide in Your Word until the end.

주님, 우리가 악한 자의 유혹과 위협을 물리치고, 끝까지 주님의 말씀에 거할 수 있게 해주세요.
