지난 주에 어떻게 보냈나요?

How did you spend last week?

 

뉴스를 들어보면 각종 사건과 사고로 인하여 좋지 않은 소식들이 많이 들려 옵니다. When you listen to the news, you hear a lot of bad news due to various incidents and accidents. 그럼에도 불구하고 온 세상에 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식이 있습니다. Nevertheless, there is good news of great joy that will bring great joy to the whole world. 하나님의 약속대로 하나님의 아들이 이 땅에 오셨다는 소식입니다. This is the news that the Son of God has come to this earth as God promised. 만왕의 왕이신 예수님이 이 땅에 오셔서 죄와 사망의 어두운 권세를 몰아내시고 생명의 빛을 비추셨기 때문입니다. This is because Jesus, the King of kings, came to this earth and drove out the dark powers of sin and death and brought forth the light of life. 예수님이 오심으로 하나님의 영광이 드러나고 하늘의 평화가 이 땅에서 실재가 되었습니다. With the coming of Jesus, the glory of God was revealed and the peace of heaven became a reality on this earth. 이것이야말로 모든 사람에게 전해져야 할 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식입니다. This is good news of great joy that must be shared with all people.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 베들레헴, 다윗의 동네에 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식이 전달됩니다(1~14절). 1. Good news of great joy is delivered to Bethlehem, David’s town (verses 1-14).

1) 요셉과 마리아가 베들레헴으로 간 이유는 무엇입니까(1~5절)?

1) Why did Joseph and Mary go to Bethlehem (verses 1-5)?

1 그 때에 가이사 아구스도가 영을 내려 천하로 다 호적하라 하였으니

2 이 호적은 구레뇨가 수리아 총독이 되었을 때에 처음 한 것이라

3 모든 사람이 호적하러 각각 고향으로 돌아가매

4 요셉도 다윗의 집 족속이므로 갈릴리 나사렛 동네에서 유대를 향하여 베들레헴이라 하는 다윗의 동네로

5 그 약혼한 마리아와 함께 호적하러 올라가니 마리아가 이미 잉태하였더라

1 At that time a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be registered.

2 This registration was first done when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

3 Everyone returned to his hometown to register.

4 Joseph also went from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the town of David, which is called Bethlehem, for he was of the house and lineage of David.

5 When he and Mary, the betrothed, went up to register, she was already with child.

 

가이사 아구스도가 영을 내려 천하로 다 호적하라고 하여 요셉과 마리아는 호적하러 베들레헴으로 갔습니다.

Caesar Augustus issued a decree to register all the world, so Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem to register.

 

2) 천사가 목자들에게 전해준 ‘큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식’은 무엇입니까(10~11절)?

2) What is the ‘good news of great joy’ that the angel delivered to the shepherds (verses 10-11)?

10 천사가 이르되 무서워하지 말라 보라 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 전하노라

11 오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라

10 The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.”

11 Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord.

 

천사가 목자들에게 전해준 ‘큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식’은 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라

The ‘good news of great joy’ that the angel brought to the shepherds was that in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord.

 

3) 수많은 천군 천사가 찬양하는 내용은 무엇입니까(13~14절)?

3) What do the countless angelic hosts praise (verses 13-14)?

13 홀연히 수많은 천군이 그 천사와 함께 하나님을 찬송하여 이르되

14 지극히 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요 땅에서는 하나님이 기뻐하신 사람들 중에 평화로다 하니라

13 And suddenly a multitude of the heavenly host was praising God with the angel, saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those with whom he is pleased.

 

수많은 천군 천사가 찬양하기를 “지극히 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요 땅에서는 하나님이 기뻐하신 사람들 중에 평화로다” 하니라

A multitude of angels praised, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those with whom he is pleased.”

 

<나눔 1> 요셉과 마리아는 황제의 명령 때문에 호적을 등록하러 베들레헴으로 갔지만, 사실 그 걸음은 다윗의 자손으로 오시는 메시아이자 진정한 왕의 출생을 준비하는 걸음이었습니다(참조 미가 5:2 베들레헴 에브라다야 너는 유다 족속 중에 작을지라도 이스라엘을 다스릴 자가 네게서 내게로 나올 것이라 그의 근본은 상고에, 영원에 있느니라) <Sharing 1> Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem to register their families due to the emperor's order, but in fact, those steps were steps to prepare for the birth of the Messiah and true king who would come as a descendant of David (Reference Micah 5:2 Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, from you will come to me one who will rule over Israel, whose origins are from ancient times, from eternity.) 로마 황제로 대표되는 인간 권력자가 아닌 예수님이 진정한 통치자라는 사실이 내게 좋은 소식인 이유를 이야기해봅시다.

Let’s talk about why it is good news for me that Jesus is the true ruler, not the human power represented by the Roman emperor.

세상의 통치자는 자신의 권력을 유지하려고 계엄령 등으로 나라를 혼란스럽게 하지만 진정한 왕이신 예수님은 하나님의 아들이시지만 우리를 구원하기 위해 높고 높은 보좌를 버리시고 낮고 낮은 이 땅에 오셔서 우리를 위해 죽기까지 사랑하셨습니다.

The rulers of the world confuse the country with martial law to maintain their power, but Jesus, the true king, is the Son of God, but to save us, he gave up his high and high throne and came to this lowly earth and loved us even to the point of dying for us.

 

<나눔 2> 예수님은 로마 황제의 영광과 다른 하나님의 영광을 드러내고 로마의 평화와 다른 하나님 나라의 평화를 이루러 오셨습니다. <Sharing 2> Jesus came to reveal the glory of God, which is different from the glory of the Roman emperor, and to achieve peace in the kingdom of God, which is different from the peace of Rome. 내가 복음 덕분에 깨닫게 된 하나님의 영광과 누리게 된 하나님 나라의 평화는 무엇인지 나눠봅시다. Let’s share the glory of God that I have realized and the peace of God’s kingdom that I have come to enjoy thanks to the gospel. 그것이 세속의 영광이나 평화와는 어떻게 다른지도 이야기해봅시다.

Let's also talk about how it differs from worldly glory and peace.

 

내가 복음 덕분에 깨닫게 된 구원의 기쁨과 평화는 세상이 알 수도 없고 줄 수도 없는 기쁨과 평화입니다. The joy and peace of salvation that I have come to realize thanks to the gospel is a joy and peace that the world cannot know or give. 세속의 영광이나 평화는 일시적인 쾌락이지만 하나님의 영광과 하나님 나라의 평화는 영원무궁합니다.

Worldly glory and peace are temporary pleasures, but God's glory and the peace of God's kingdom are eternal and forever.

 

2. 목자들은 천사들이 들려준 말을 확인하러 갑니다(15~20절). 2. The shepherds go to confirm what the angels said (verses 15-20).

1) 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 들은 목자들은 어떻게 행동합니까(15~17절)?1) How do the shepherds act after hearing the good news of great joy (verses 15-17)?

15 천사들이 떠나 하늘로 올라가니 목자가 서로 말하되 이제 베들레헴으로 가서 주께서 우리에게 알리신 바 이 이루어진 일을 보자 하고

16 빨리 가서 마리아와 요셉과 구유에 누인 아기를 찾아서

17 보고 천사가 자기들에게 이 아기에 대하여 말한 것을 전하니

15 When the angels had departed and ascended into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has revealed to us.”

16 Go quickly and find Mary and Joseph and the baby lying in the manger.

17 When they saw this, they told them what the angel had told them about the child.

 

목자들은 베들레헴으로 빨리 가서 마리아와 요셉과 구유에 누인 아기를 찾아서 보고 천사가 자기들에게 이 아기에 대하여 말한 것을 전하였습니다. The shepherds quickly went to Bethlehem, found Mary, Joseph, and the baby in the manger, found them, and told them what the angel had told them about the baby.

2) 목자로부터 ‘좋은 소식’을 접한 사람들의 반응은 어떠했습니까(18~19절)? 2) What was the reaction of the people who heard the ‘good news’ from the shepherd (verses 18-19)?

18 듣는 자가 다 목자들이 그들에게 말한 것들을 놀랍게 여기되

19 마리아는 이 모든 말을 마음에 새기어 생각하니라

18 And all who heard were amazed at what the shepherds had said to them.

19 And Mary pondered all these words in her heart.

사람들은 목자들의 말을 이상히 여기지만 마리아는 이 모든 말을 고이 간직하고 마음 속에 곰곰이 되새겼습니다. People found the shepherds' words strange, but Mary kept all these words and pondered them in her heart.

 

<나눔 3> 목자들은 보고 들은 걸 정확하게 전달하고 이 모든 일로 인해 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다.

<Sharing 3> The shepherds accurately conveyed what they saw and heard and gave glory to God for all of this. 우리는 우리가 받은 복음을 누구에게, 어떻게 전하고 있는지 나눠봅시다. Let us share to whom and how we are sharing the gospel we have received. 그리고 복음을 들은 이들이 복음을 받아들이도록 기도합시다. And let us pray that those who hear the gospel will accept it.

 

디지털 시대에 맞게 유튜브와 문자 메시지를 통하여 복음을 전하기도 하며 놀이터에서 아이들에게 복음을 전하기도 하였습니다. In keeping with the digital age, the gospel was preached through YouTube and text messages, and the gospel was also preached to children at playgrounds. 이들이 모두 예수님을 구주로 믿고 구원을 받을 수 있도록 함께 기도드립니다. We pray together so that they can all believe in Jesus as their Savior and be saved.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's pray together

주님, 하나님의 영광을 드러내고 땅에 평화를 가져오는 복음을 풍성히 누리고 나누게 하소서!

Lord, help us to abundantly enjoy and share the gospel that reveals the glory of God and brings peace to the earth!

저희가 온 세상에 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 모든 사람들에게 전하고 복음을 들은 이들이 예수님을 구주로 영접하고 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 얻게 하소서!

Let us spread the good news of great joy that will be brought to the whole world to everyone, and let those who hear the gospel receive the power to accept Jesus as their Savior and become children of God!
