지난 주에 어떻게 보냈나요?

How did you spend last week?

 

그 어느 때보다 자아실현의 욕구가 강한 시대입니다. We live in an age that has a greater desire to achieve self-realization than any other time before. 현대인이 원하는 자아실현을 가만히 들여다보면, 대부분 자기 욕망이 이뤄지는 것입니다. If you look closely at the self-realization that modern people want, you will see that most of them achieve their desires. 결국 현대사회는 자기 욕망이 인생의 길잡이, 삶의 스승이 된 시대라 할 수 있습니다.In the end, modern society can be said to be an age in which one's desires have become a guide and teacher of life. 이런 세상에서 사욕을 좇지 않고 사명을 따르려면 시대를 거스르는 힘이 필요합니다. In a world like this, you need the strength to go against the times to follow your mission rather than your own selfish desires. 진리를 추구하는 선한 일꾼이 되려면 욕망을 숭앙하는 세상 풍조를 거슬러야 하기 때문입니다. This is because in order to become a good worker who pursues the truth, you must go against the world's trend of worshiping desire. 시대를 거스르는 삶에는 분명 고난이 따르겠지만, 고난의 경주 끝에는 의의 면류관이 기다리고 있을 것입니다. There will certainly be hardships in living a life that goes against the times, but the crown of righteousness will be waiting at the end of the race of hardships.

□말씀과 나눔 The Word and Sharing

1. 우리는 말씀을 세상에 전파하는 전도자입니다(1~6절)

1. We are evangelists who spread the Word to the world (verses 1-6)

1) 말씀을 전파하기 위한 자세는 무엇입니까(2절)? 1) What is your attitude toward spreading the word (verse 2)?

2 너는 말씀을 전파하라 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘쓰라 범사에 오래 참음과 가르침으로 경책하며 경계하며 권하라

2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

우리는 하나님의 말씀을 전파해야 합니다. 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘써야 합니다. 범사(모든 일)에 오래 참음과 가르침으로 경책하며 경계하며 권해야 합니다.

We must spread the word of God. Whether we have the right time or not, we must always work hard. In all things, we must rebuke, warn, and exhort with long-suffering and teaching.

 

2) 마지막 때에 사람들은 어떤 풍조 속에 살아갑니까(3~4절)?

2) What kind of climate will people live in during the end times (verses 3-4)?

3 때가 이르리니 사람이 바른 교훈을 받지 아니하며 귀가 가려워서 자기의 사욕을 따를 스승을 많이 두고

4 또 그 귀를 진리에서 돌이켜 허탄한 이야기를 따르리라

3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

사람들이 바른 교훈을 받지 아니하며 귀가 가려워서 자기의 사욕을 따를 스승을 많이 두고 또 그 귀를 진리에서 돌이켜 허탄(虛誕)한 이야기를 따를 것입니다.

People will not endure sound doctrine, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

 

3) 세상 사람들과 달리 하나님의 일꾼은 어떻게 살아야 합니까(5절)?

3) Unlike people in the world, how should God’s workers live (verse 5)?

5 그러나 너는 모든 일에 신중하여 고난을 받으며 전도자의 일을 하며 네 직무를 다하라

5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

모든 일에 신중하여 고난을 받으며 전도자의 일을 하며, 우리의 직무를 다해야 합니다.

We must be prudent in everything, suffer hardships, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill our duties.

<나눔 1> 주님의 일꾼은 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 하나님의 말씀을 전하기 위해 힘써야 합니다. 나의 전도 대상은 누구인지, 그를 예수께로 인도하기 위해 어떤 노력을 하고 있는지 나눠봅시다.

<Sharing 1> The Lord's servants must strive to spread the word of God, whether the time comes or not. Let’s share who our target of evangelism is and what efforts we are making to lead them to Jesus.

아직 예수님을 구주로 믿지 않은 우리의 가족과 친척과 친구와 이웃 그리고 온 세상에서 온 사람들에게까지 복음을 전하고 기도하며 인내하며 하나님의 말씀을 전해야 합니다.

We must preach the gospel, pray, and be patient and spread the word of God to our family, relatives, friends, neighbors, and people from all over the world who have not yet believed in Jesus as their Savior.

 

<나눔 2> 말세에 사람들은 자기 욕심을 부추기는 달콤한 말에만 귀를 기울일 것입니다. <Sharing 2> In the last days, people will only listen to sweet words that encourage their greed. 오늘날 신앙과 거룩함을 파괴하는 달콤한 거짓 교훈은 어떤 것들인지 나눠봅시다. Let’s share what sweet false teachings are destroying faith and holiness today.

자기와 돈을 사랑하게 하는 세속화와 기복주의 등의 거짓 교훈에 빠지지 않도록 주의해야 합니다.

We must be careful not to fall into false teachings such as secularization and fortune-telling that lead us to love ourselves and money.

 

2. 바울이 지난 삶을 회고하고 앞날을 전망합니다(6~8절).

2. Paul looks back on his past life and looks ahead to the future (verses 6-8).

 

1) 바울은 자기 삶을 회고하며 뭐라고 고백합니까(7절)?

1) What does Paul confess as he looks back on his life (verse 7)?

7 나는 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

 

2) 바울은 자신처럼 주님의 나타나심을 사모하는 자들에게 무엇이 예비되어 있다고 말합니까?(8절)

2) What does Paul say is in store for those who, like him, long for the Lord’s appearing? (verse 8)

8 이제 후로는 나를 위하여 의의 면류관이 예비되었으므로 주 곧 의로우신 재판장이 그 날에 내게 주실 것이며 내게만 아니라 주의 나타나심을 사모하는 모든 자에게도니라

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

바울은 자신처럼 주의 나타나심을 사모하는 자들에게 의의 면류관이 예비되었다고 말합니다.

Paul says that the crown of righteousness has been prepared for those who, like him, long for the Lord's appearing.

 

<나눔 3> 죽음이 목전에 있다면 지금까지 나의 삶을 무엇이라고 말할 수 있을지, 오늘 바울의 고백과 견주어 생각해보고 나눠봅시다.

<Sharing 3> If death were just around the corner, let’s think about and share what we would say about our life so far, comparing it to Paul’s confession today.

 

바울처럼 나는 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니 이제 후로는 나를 위하여 의의 면류관이 예비되었다고 고백할 수 있도록 우리도 최선을 다해 주님 주신 사명을 잘 감당합시다.

Like Paul, I have fought the good fight, finished my course, kept the faith, and from now on, let us do our best to fulfill the mission given by the Lord so that we can confess that the crown of righteousness has been prepared for us.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's Pray Together

 

주님, 의의 면류관을 바라보며 끝까지 주께 충성하는 저희가 되기를 바랍니다.

Lord, may we be faithful to the Lord to the end, looking toward the crown of righteousness.

저희가 아직 예수님을 구주로 믿지 않는 가족과 친척과 친구와 이웃 그리고 온 세상의 사람들에게 복음을 전하고 기도하고 인내하며 하나님의 말씀을 가르치고 하소서!

Let us preach the gospel, pray, be patient, and teach the Word of God to our family, relatives, friends, neighbors, and people all over the world who do not yet believe in Jesus as their Savior!

저희 자신과 돈을 사랑하게 만드는 세속화와 기복주의(祈福主義)에 빠지지 않게 하소서!

Please do not let us fall into the secularization and euphoria that makes us love ourselves and money!
