지난 주에 어떻게 지냈나요?

How was your last week?

 

대부분의 사람들은 탁월한 사람을 귀하게 여깁니다. Most people value outstanding people. 그러나 하나님은 능력이 출중한 사람보다 경건한 사람을 귀히 사용하십니다. However, God uses godly people more preciously than those with outstanding abilities. 경건한 사람이란 언제나 자신을 거룩하게 하여 하나님께 온전히 드리기를 힘쓰는 이를 말합니다. A godly person is someone who always strives to sanctify himself and give himself completely to God. 능력이 부족하더라고 참으로 경건하다면 하나님의 일꾼이 될 수 있습니다. Even if you lack ability, you can become a servant of God if you are truly pious(godly). 사람은 겉모습을 보지만, 하나님은 언제나 사람의 중심을 보시기 때문입니다(삼상 16:7 여호와께서 사무엘에게 이르시되 그의 용모와 키를 보지 말라 내가 이미 그를 버렸노라 내가 보는 것은 사람과 같지 아니하니 사람은 외모를 보거니와 나 여호와는 중심을 보느니라 하시더라).

Because people look at the outward appearance, but God always looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7 And the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his countenance or his stature, for I have rejected him; “But I, the Lord, look at the heart.”)

 

□말씀과 나눔

The Word and Sharing

1. 바울은 먼저 주님의 일꾼이 개인적 차원에서 갖추어야 하는 자질을 교훈합니다(14~21절)

1. Paul first teaches the qualities that the Lord’s servant must have at an individual level (verses 14-21)

1) 주님의 일꾼이 힘써야 하는 일은 무엇입니까(15절)? 1) What must the Lord’s workers strive for (verse 15)?

15 너는 진리의 말씀을 옳게 분별하며 부끄러울 것이 없는 일꾼으로 인정된 자로 자신을 하나님 앞에 드리기를 힘쓰라

15 Do your best to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

주님의 일꾼은 진리의 말씀을 옳게 분별하며 부끄러울 것이 없는 일꾼으로 인정된 자로 자신을 하나님 앞에 드리기를 힘써야 합니다.

The Lord's servant must strive to present himself to God as one who is recognized as a worker who rightly divides the word of truth and does not need to be ashamed.

 

2) 바울은 후메내오와 빌레도가 퍼뜨리는 말을 어떻게 설명합니까?(16~17절)? 2) How does Paul explain the words spread by Hymenaeus and Philetus (verses 16-17)?

16 망령되고 헛된 말을 버리라 그들은 경건하지 아니함에 점점 나아가나니

17 그들의 말은 악성 종양이 퍼져나감과 같은데 그 중에 후메내오와 빌레도가 있느니라

16 Put away vain and vain talking, for they advance more and more into ungodliness.

17 Their words are like a malignant tumor spreading; among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus.

 

바울은 후메내오와 빌레도의 말은 악성 종양이 퍼져나감과 같다고 설명합니다.

Paul explains that the words of Hymenaeus and Philetus are like a malignant tumor spreading.

 

3) 하나님이 귀히 쓰시는 그릇이 되려면 무엇을 해야 합니까?(19b~21절)

3) What must we do to become a vessel preciously used by God? (verses 19b-21)

19 그러나 하나님의 견고한 터는 섰으니 인침이 있어 일렀으되 주께서 자기 백성을 아신다 하며 또 주의 이름을 부르는 자마다 불의에서 떠날지어다 하였느니라

20 큰 집에는 금 그릇과 은 그릇뿐 아니라 나무 그릇과 질그릇도 있어 귀하게 쓰는 것도 있고 천하게 쓰는 것도 있나니

21 그러므로 누구든지 이런 것에서 자기를 깨끗하게 하면 귀히 쓰는 그릇이 되어 거룩하고 주인의 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 되리라

19 But the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are his’. And, ‘Let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.’

20 In a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also vessels of wood and earthenware, some for noble use and others for ignoble use.

21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

 

자기를 깨끗하게 하면 귀히 쓰는 그릇이 되어 거룩하고 주인의 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 될 것입니다.

If you purify yourself, you will become a vessel for honor, holy, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.

 

<나눔 1> 성경은 거짓 교훈을 악성 종양, 즉 암과 같다고 표현합니다. <Sharing 1> The Bible describes false teachings as being like a malignant tumor, or cancer. 신앙을 파괴하는 그릇된 사상에 대한 강력한 경고입니다. This is a strong warning against false ideas that destroy faith. 많은 이들이 이단에 미혹되는 이 시대에 성도와 교회를 보호하기 위해 나와 공동체가 더욱 힘써야 할 일은 무엇이라고 생각합니까? What do you think you and the community should do more to protect believers and the church in this era when many people are deceived by heresy?

 

예방주사를 맞아 병에 대한 면역력을 키우듯이 이단에 대한 교육을 통하여 이단에 대한 분별력을 키워야 할 것입니다. Just as we develop immunity to diseases by receiving vaccinations, we must increase our ability to discern heresy through education about heresy. 그리고 날마다 말씀 묵상을 통하여 올바른 교훈과 잘못된 교훈을 분별할 수 있도록 해야 합니다.

And through meditating on the Word every day, we must be able to discern between correct and incorrect teachings.

 

<나눔 2> 하나님의 일꾼에게 중요한 것은 거짓과 진리를 가리는 ‘분별력’, 자신을 깨끗하게 하는 ‘성결한 마음’, 하나님께 온전히 자신을 드리는 ‘헌신’입니다. <Sharing 2> What is important for a worker of God is ‘discernment’ to distinguish between lies and truth, ‘pure heart’ to purify oneself, and ‘dedication’ to give oneself completely to God. 이를 생각할 때 나는 하나님의 앞에서 어떤 일꾼이라고 생각합니까? 그렇게 말한 이유를 나눠봅시다. When you think about this, what kind of worker do you think you are before God? Let’s share why we said that.

 

하나님과 사람 앞에서 자신을 깨끗하게 하여 정결한 그릇이 되어 주님 쓰시기에 합당한 사람이 되도록 함께 노력합시다.

Let us work together to purify ourselves before God and people, become a pure vessel, and become a person worthy of the Lord's use.

 

2. 바울은 주님의 일꾼이 갖추어야 할 사역적 자질을 교훈합니다(22~26절)

2. Paul teaches the ministerial qualities that the Lord’s servants must have (verses 22-26)

1) 무엇에서 다툼이 납니까?(23절)

1) What causes conflict? (Verse 23)

23 어리석고 무식한 변론을 버리라 이에서 다툼이 나는 줄 앎이라

23 Put away foolish and ignorant arguments, for you know that this leads to strife.

어리석고 무식한 변론에서 다툼이 일어납니다.

Conflicts arise from foolish and ignorant arguments.

2) 주님의 종이 마땅히 해야 할 일은 무엇입니까(24~25절)?

2) What must the servant of the Lord do (verses 24-25)?

24 주의 종은 마땅히 다투지 아니하고 모든 사람에 대하여 온유하며 가르치기를 잘하며 참으며

25 거역하는 자를 온유함으로 훈계할지니 혹 하나님이 그들에게 회개함을 주사 진리를 알게 하실까 하며

24 Your servant must not be quarrelsome, but kind to all, teachable and patient.

25 In gentleness let them admonish the rebels; perhaps God will give them repentance and the knowledge of the truth.

 

주님의 종은 마땅히 다투지 아니하고 모든 사람에 대하여 온유하며 가르치기를 잘하며 참으며 거역하는 자를 온유함으로 훈계해야 합니다.

A servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to all, apt to teach, patient, and with gentleness admonish those who are disobedient.

<나눔 3> 주님의 일꾼은 지체를 바른 길로 이끌기 위해 가르쳐야 합니다. <Sharing 3> The Lord's servants must teach their members to lead them on the right path.이를 위해 인내하며 온유함을 잃지 않아야 합니다. For this, we must be patient and not lose gentleness.내가 충성스럽게 지체들을 섬기기 위해 인내해야 할 부분은 무엇이며, 온유함을 이루기 위해 힘써야 할 것은 무엇인지 나눠봅시다.

Let’s share what we need to endure in order to serve our members faithfully and what we need to strive for to achieve meekness.

약속을 잘 지키지 않는 지체들에 대하여 온유하게 책망하여 약속을 잘 지키는 사람이 되도록 인내해야 합니다.

We must be patient and gently rebuke members who do not keep their promises so that they can become people who keep their promises.

싸움과 분쟁을 일으키는 가족과 친척들에게 온유하게 책망하여 그들이 화목하도록 인내해야 합니다.

We must gently rebuke our family members and relatives who cause fights and disputes and be patient so that they may be reconciled.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's Pray Together

주님, 우리 자신을 순결하게 지키고 우리 자신을 온전히 주님께 드릴 수 있게 도와주소서.

Lord, help us to keep ourselves pure and give ourselves wholly to You.

이단에 미혹되지 않도록 저희를 도우시고 이단에 빠진 이들이 참된 가르침으로 돌아오게 하소서!

Help us not to be deceived by heresy, and help those who have fallen into heresy to return to the true teachings!

저희 자신이 깨끗하여 정결한 그릇이 되어 주님을 위해 쓰임받게 하소서!

Let us be clean and pure vessels so that we can be used for the Lord!

 

저희가 잘못된 가족과 친척과 교회 지체들을 온유하게 책망하여 그들이 올바른 길로 돌아오게 하소서!

Please gently rebuke our family members, relatives, and church members who have erred and help them return to the right path!
