지난 주에 어떻게 보냈나요? How did you spend last week?

 

10월의 주제는 ‘개혁을 향한 여정’입니다.(1주 ‘시험의 순간’, 2주 ‘말씀의 발견’, 3주 ‘눈물의 탄식’, 4주 ‘공동체를 위한 중보기도’). The theme of October is ‘Journey toward Reform’ (Week 1 ‘Moment of Test’, Week 2 ‘Discovery of the Word’, Week 3 ‘Lament of Tears’, Week 4 ‘Intercessory Prayer for the Community’). 단호하게 죄를 끊어내고 결연하게 믿음의 삶을 결단하더라도, 거대한 위협에 압도당하면 신앙을 견지하기가 어렵습니다. Even if you resolutely abstain from sin and resolutely decide to live a life of faith, it is difficult to maintain your faith if you are overwhelmed by a huge threat. 히스기야 왕은 재임 초기에 하나님의 말씀대로 우상을 철폐하는 등 개혁을 단행하지만, 히스기야의 믿음을 시험대에 올리는 큰 위협을 맞닥뜨립니다. Early in his reign, King Hezekiah carried out reforms such as abolishing idols according to God's word, but he faced a great threat that put Hezekiah's faith to the test. 북이스라엘을 정복한 앗수르가 이제 히스기야가 다스리는 남유다까지 침공하려 한 것입니다. Assyria, which had conquered northern Israel, now attempted to invade southern Judah, ruled by Hezekiah.

 

□말씀과 나눔 The Word and Sharing

1. 히스기야가 다윗처럼 여호와 보시기에 정직한 길을 걷습니다(1~8절).

1. Like David, Hezekiah walks the path that is right in the sight of the Lord (verses 1-8).

1) 히스기야가 단(시)행한 개혁들은 무엇입니까?(4절)

1) What are the reforms that Hezekiah implemented? (verse 4)

4 그가 여러 산당들을 제거하며 주상을 깨뜨리며 아세라 목상을 찍으며 모세가 만들었던 놋뱀을 이스라엘 자손이 이때까지 향하여 분향하므로 그것을 부수고 느후스단이라 일컬었더라

4 He removed the high places, broke down the pillars, cut down the Asherah pole, and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, to which the Israelites were still offering incense. He called it Nehushtan.

 

2) 히스기야가 형통할 수 있었던 이유는 무엇입니까?(6~7절)

2) Why was Hezekiah able to prosper? (verses 6-7)

6 곧 그가 여호와께 연합하여 그에게서 떠나지 아니하고 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 계명을 지켰더라

7 여호와께서 그와 함께 하시매 그가 어디로 가든지 형통하였더라 저가 앗수르 왕을 배반하고 섬기지 아니하였고

6 So he joined himself to the Lord and did not turn away from Him; he kept the commandment that the Lord had commanded Moses.

7 The LORD was with him, and he prospered wherever he went. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.

그가 여호와께 연합하여 떠나지 아니하고 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 계명을 지켰으므로 여호와께서 그와 함께 하시매 그가 어디로 가든지 형통하였습니다. He stuck to the LORD and did not turn away; he kept the commandments the LORD had commanded Moses. The LORD was with him, and he prospered wherever he went.

 

<나눔 1> 우상을 척결해야 하나님과 동행할 수 있습니다. <Sharing 1> You must get rid of idols in order to walk with God. 하나님과 동행하는 사람만이 형통한 길을 걸을 수 있습니다. Only those who walk with God can walk the path of prosperity. 주님과 동행하는 삶을 방해하는 걸림돌은 어떤 것들인지, 내 삶에서 찍어 내버려야 할 우상은 무엇인지 서로 나눠봅시다. Let's share with each other what obstacles are hindering our walk with the Lord and what idols we need to cut out of our lives.

 

하나님보다 더 사랑하고 의지하는 것들, 술, 게임, 드라마, 돈, 등

Things we love and rely on more than God, alcohol, games, dramas, money, etc.

 

2. 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다의 성읍들을 점령합니다(9~16절).

2. Sennacherib, king of Assyria, captures the cities of Judah (verses 9-16).

1) 앗수르 왕 살만에셀은 북왕국 이스라엘에 어떤 일을 행했습니까?(9~11절)

1) What did Shalmaneser, king of Assyria, do to the northern kingdom of Israel? (verses 9-11)

9 히스기야 왕 제사년 곧 이스라엘의 왕 엘라의 아들 호세아 제칠년에 앗수르의 왕 살만에셀이 사마리아로 올라와서 에워쌌더라

10 삼 년 후에 그 성읍이 함락되니 곧 히스기야 왕의 제육년이요 이스라엘 왕 호세아의 제구년에 사마리아가 함락되매

11 앗수르 왕이 이스라엘을 사로잡아 앗수르에 이르러 고산 강 가에 있는 할라와 하볼과 메대 사람의 여러 성읍에 두었으니

9 In the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up to Samaria and besieged it.

10 After three years the city was taken; in the sixth year of King Hezekiah, and in the ninth year of Hosea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

11 And the king of Assyria took Israel captive, and brought them into Assyria, and put them in Halah, and Habor, and in the cities of the Medes, which are by the river Gozan.

앗수르의 왕 살만에셀이 사마리아로 올라와서 에워싸 함락시키고 이스라엘 백성들을 사로잡아 갔습니다. Shalmaneser, king of Assyria, came up to Samaria, surrounded it, captured it, and took the Israelites captive.

2) 북왕국 이스라엘이 멸망한 이유는 무엇입니까?(12절)

2) What was the reason for the destruction of the Northern Kingdom of Israel? (verse 12)

12 이는 그들이 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 듣지 아니하고 그의 언약과 여호와의 종 모세가 명령한 모든 것을 따르지 아니하였음이더라

12 Because they would not listen to the voice of the LORD their God, nor follow his covenant, nor follow all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.

 

3) 산헤립의 공격 앞에서 히스기야가 선택한 타개(해결)책은 무엇입니까?(13~16절)

3) What solution did Hezekiah choose in the face of Sennacherib’s attack? (verses 13-16)

13 히스기야 왕 제십사년에 앗수르의 왕 산헤립이 올라와서 유다 모든 견고한 성읍들을 쳐서 점령하매

14 유다의 왕 히스기야가 라기스로 사람을 보내어 앗수르 왕에게 이르되 내가 범죄하였나이다 나를 떠나 돌아가소서 왕이 내게 지우시는 것을 내가 당하리이다 하였더니 앗수르 왕이 곧 은 삼백 달란트와 금 삼십 달란트를 정하여 유다 왕 히스기야에게 내게 한지라

15 히스기야가 이에 여호와의 성전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 은을 다 주었고

16 또 그 때에 유다 왕 히스기야가 여호와의 성전 문의 금과 자기가 모든 기둥에 입힌 금을 벗겨 모두 앗수르 왕에게 주었더라

13 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

14 Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to Lachish and said to the king of Assyria, “I have sinned. Go back from me, and I will bear what you have imposed on me.” So the king of Assyria appointed three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold to Hezekiah king of Judah. He did it to me

15 Then Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was in the treasury of the LORD's temple and the king's palace.

16 At that time Hezekiah king of Judah took off the gold from the door of the house of the LORD and the gold that he had overlaid on all the pillars, and gave it all to the king of Assyria.

 

히스기야가 여호와의 성전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 은과 금을 모두 앗수르 왕에게 주었습니다. Hezekiah gave all the silver and gold that was in the Lord's temple and in the treasury of the king's palace to the king of Assyria.

 

<나눔 2> 북왕국 이스라엘이 패망한 근본적인 이유는 국력이 약해서가 아니라 하나님을 향한 믿음이 없었기 때문입니다. 오늘날 우리 교회와 사회의 모습을 보며, 믿음으로 척결해야 할 폐단과 회복해야 할 가치가 무엇인지 이야기해봅시다. <Sharing 2> The fundamental reason why the Northern Kingdom of Israel fell was not because their national power was weak, but because they had no faith in God. Let's look at our church and society today and talk about the evils that need to be eradicated and the values ​​that need to be restored through faith.

 

한국교회가 영적 성장보다 외형적 성장에 치우쳐 교회의 거룩함을 잃어버리고 개교회 중심주의에 함몰되어 연합하지 못한 것을 회개해야 합니다. 그래서 주님 안에서 진정한 연합을 이루어 거룩한 공동체를 이루어야 할 것입니다.

The Korean church must repent of its failure to unite by focusing on external growth rather than spiritual growth, losing its holiness, and falling into individual church-centrism. Therefore, we must achieve true unity in the Lord and form a holy community.

그리고 인간중심의 가치관으로 하나님의 창조세계를 파괴하고 소외된 약자를 돌보지 못했음을 회개해야 합니다. 그래서 아름다운 하나님의 창조세계를 회복하고 약자와 강자가 함께 공존하는 아름다운 세상을 만들어야 합니다.

And we must repent for destroying God's creation with human-centered values ​​and failing to care for the marginalized and the weak. Therefore, we must restore God's beautiful creation and create a beautiful world where the weak and the strong coexist.

그리고 지역과 세대의 갈등, 남한과 북한의 갈등으로 분열과 대립이 심화되는 상황에서 평화의 중재자가 되지 못했음을 회개해야 합니다. 그래서 지역과 세대 그리고 남한과 북한이 평화와 통일을 이루는 세상을 만들어야 합니다.

And we must repent that we have failed to become mediators of peace in a situation where division and conflict are deepening due to regional and generational conflicts and the conflicts between South and North Korea. Therefore, we must create a world where peace and unification are achieved among regions, generations, and South and North Korea.

그리고 알콜과 게임 중독, 살인, 자살, 이혼, 왕따, 폭력 등의 죄악을 회개해야 합니다. 그래서 사랑, 희락, 화평, 오래참음, 자비, 양선, 충성, 온유, 그리고 절제의 성령의 열매를 맺는 삶을 살아야 합니다.

And we must repent of our sins, such as alcohol and game addiction, murder, suicide, divorce, bullying, and violence. So, we must live a life that bears the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, loyalty, gentleness, and self-control.

 

<나눔 3> 히스기야는 이미 말씀에 순종할 때 형통한 삶을 경험했으니, 위기의 순간에 더욱 하나님을 의지해야 마땅했습니다. <Sharing 3> Hezekiah had already experienced a prosperous life when he obeyed the Word, so he should have relied on God even more in times of crisis. 하지만 앗수르의 침략을 막기 위해 하나님보다 은금을 더 의지했습니다. 위기의 순간에 내가 의지하는 것은 무엇입니까? However, to prevent Assyrian invasion, he relied more on silver and gold than on God. What do I rely on in times of crisis?

 

많은 사람들이 위기의 순간에 돈과 사람을 의지하는데 우리는 돈과 사람보다 전능하신 하나님만을 의지해야 합니다. Many people rely on money and people in times of crisis, but we must rely on Almighty God rather than money and people.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's Pray Togeher

하나님, 저희가 말씀에 순종하고 하나님과 동행하면서 날마다 주님 안에서 형통하게 하소서!

God, help us to prosper in the Lord every day as we obey Your Word and walk with You!

한국교회가 영적 성장보다 외형적 성장에 치우쳐 교회의 거룩함을 잃어버리고 개교회 중심주의에 함몰되어 연합하지 못한 것을 회개합니다. 주님 안에서 진정한 연합을 이루어 거룩한 공동체를 이루게 하소서!
