2 Kings 열왕기하 8: 16~29

 

V. 19 Yet the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David His servant, since He promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

19절. 그러나 여호와께서는 그의 종 다윗을 위하여 유다 멸하기를 즐겨 아니하셨으니 이는 그와 그의 자손에게 영원히 등불을 주시겠다고 말씀하셨음이니라.

 

God is the one who faithfully keeps his promises. Let us also imitate God and faithfully keep our promises.

하나님은 약속을 신실하게 지키시는 분입니다. 우리도 하나님의 모습을 본받아 약속을 신실하게 지킵시다.

 

V. 27 He(Ahaziah) alsot walked in the way of the house of Ahab and did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, as the house of Ahab had done, for he was son-in-law to the house of Ahab.

27절. 그(아하시야)도 아합 집의 길로 행하여 아합 집의 행함과 같이 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하였으니 이는 그가 아합 집의 사위가 됨이니라

 

Do not rely on the power of the wicked. Ahaziah became Ahab's son-in-law and was forced to join the war against Syria. The wicked power may seem helpful at first, but later, it becomes a trap that is hard to get out of. Are there any worldly or evil forces you must disconnect from right now?

악인의 힘을 의지하지 마십시오. 아하시야는 아합의 사위가 되었고 시리아와의 전쟁에 강제로 참여하게 되었습니다. 사악한 힘은 처음에는 도움이 되는 것처럼 보이지만 나중에는 빠져나오기 힘든 함정이 됩니다. 지금 당장 끊어야 할 세상의 세력이나 악한 세력이 있습니까?

Geunmukjaheuk (近墨者黑): When you get close to ink, you turn black. If you get close to bad people, you will become tainted by evil.

Do not be influenced by evil, but be a positive influence.

근묵자흑(近墨者黑): 묵(墨)을 가까이하면 검어진다. 좋지 못한 사람과 가까이 하면 악(惡)에 물들게 됨

악에 물들지 말고 좋은 영향을 끼쳐라

 

God, help us imitate your faithfulness and be a positive influence rather than being tainted by evil!

하나님, 저희가 당신의 신실하심을 본받게 하시고 악에 물들지 말고 좋은 영향을 끼치게 하소서!
