Sincere Repentance and Courage

Sincere Repentance and Courage

Jeremiah 27:12-22

Jeremiah tells Zedekiah, the king of Judah, that Judah must also serve Babylonia as its lord to survive. And he prophesies to the priests and the people. The prophecy that the temple utensils that were taken away by Babylonia during the reign of King Jehoiachin would quickly be returned to the temple is also false, and God says that even the utensils remaining in the temple will be transported to Babylonia. However, as time passes, God says he will move the temple equipment to Jerusalem.

God also moved all remaining temple equipment to Babylonia. Everything that remains in Jerusalem will be destroyed, but the people and things that were taken to Babylon will definitely be brought back. When you truly acknowledge that you are a sinner and acknowledge your uncleanness, you can experience God's grace of forgiveness and restoration.

It takes courage to spread the word of God. To say in front of a king that one had to become a vassal of another country to live, and to say in front of a priest that even the remaining belongings would be taken away, was something that risked opposition, persecution, and even death. Do we have the courage to be hated for preaching the Word of God?

Dear God, help us bear whatever yoke You allow to be put on us. May we gladly bear the hardship on the path toward righteousness.

사랑하는 하나님, 당신이 우리에게 지도록 허락하신 어떤 멍에도 우리가 질 수 있도록 도와주세요. 정의를 향한 길에서 고난을 기꺼이 견디기를 바랍니다.
