Do not despise and do not criticize each other

 

Romans 14:1-12

 

Paul writes to the saints in Rome to receive the one who is weak in the faith, but not to criticize his opinion. In matters of food, it is said that those who eat should not despise those who do not eat, and those who do not eat should not criticize those who eat. In addition, each of us has to fix the issue of the season in our hearts, and whether we eat or not, whether we keep the feast or not, we are told to do everything ‘for the Lord’ and give thanks. If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord; whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. And why do you criticize and despise your brother? We will all stand before the judgment seat of God and confess what we have done to God.

 

We must accept the weak in the faith and not criticize his opinions. We should not despise or criticize each other because of the problem of eating and the season. Whether we eat or not, whether we observe a feast or not, we must do everything ‘for the Lord’ and give thanks. Even if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we must die for the Lord. Whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. We will all stand before God's judgment seat and confess to God what we have done.

 

God, help us accept the weak in the faith and not criticize his opinions! Let us not despise or criticize each other due to the problem of eating, the problem of the season, or other problems! Whether we eat or not, whether we keep a feast or not, let us do everything 'for the Lord' and give thanks! Even if we live, let us live for You, and if we die, let us die for You! Whether we live or die, we confess that we belong to the Lord. Let us all stand before the judgment seat of God and remember to confess what we have done to God and live as true people of God!
