A Victoryless War 승자 없는 전쟁

 

Judges 사사기 20:8~28

 

God's approval does not guarantee victory. Rather, it makes you look back on yourself in the face of a painful defeat. The problem is ‘relationship’, not ‘power’. Sometimes painful failure is an opportunity to humble myself, who was arrogant, and to check the spiritual distance from God.

하나님의 승인이 승리를 보장하는 것은 아닙니다. 오히려 뼈아픈 패전 앞에서 자신을 돌아보게 하십니다. ‘전력’이 아닌 ‘관계’가 문제입니다. 때로 고통스러운 실패는 기고만장하던 나를 낮추고 하나님과의 영적 거리를 점검하는 계기가 됩니다.

 

True courage is knowing how to admit mistakes. The tribes of Israel and Benjamin only insist on their own positions, and eventually they all fall on the road to ruin. Let's see if there are any cracks or breakdowns in relationships that my selfish life has brought about.

진정한 용기는 잘못을 인정할 줄 아는 것입니다. 이스라엘과 베냐민 지파는 자신들의 입장만 주장하다가 결국은 모두가 몰락하는 길에 들어섭니다. 내 이기적인 삶이 가져온 관계의 균열이나 붕괴는 없는지 돌아봅시다.

 

Lord, help me not to pervert Your will by asserting only my own principles and righteousness.

주님, 저만의 원칙과 공정함만을 주장하여 주님의 뜻을 왜곡하지 않도록 도와주소서.
