Judges 13:15-25

 

Manoah wants to give a young goat to the angel of God who informed him of the conception of his son Samson, but the angel of God tells him to give it to God. Manoah did not know that he was a messenger of God and asked him his name.

When Manoah offered a goat and a grain offering to God, flames went up from the altar to heaven, and an angel of God went up to heaven.

Now that Manoah knew that he was a messenger of God and saw God, he was trembling for fear of death, but Manoah's wife says that if the Lord had wanted to kill us, he would not have accepted the burnt offering and grain offering, and he would not have told us these things.

And the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson, and the Spirit of God began to move him.

 

God has a plan to save us, not to kill us.
