한 권의 책이 한 사람의 인생을 바꾸기도 합니다. 위대한 한 문장을 만나고 나서 이전의 삶으로 돌아가지 못하기도 합니다. One book can change a person's life. After encountering a great sentence, you may not be able to return to your previous life. 요시야왕은 26세에 성전을 보수하다가 율법책을 발견합니다. 말씀의 발견 이후, 요시야와 유다 왕국은 말씀에 맞춰 새로운 삶으로 거듭나고 새로운 국가로 개혁됩니다. King Josiah discovered the Book of the Law while repairing the temple at the age of 26. After the discovery of the Word, Josiah and the Kingdom of Judah are reborn into a new life in accordance with the Word and are reformed into a new nation. 하나님의 사람은 하나님의 말씀을 발견한 사람입니다. 발견한 말씀에 자신의 모든 삶을 새롭게 맞추는 사람, 자신의 생애를 거는 사람입니다. 그러므로 ‘말씀의 발견’은 ‘새 삶의 발견’으로 이어집니다. A man of God is a person who has discovered the Word of God. A person who aligns his or her entire life with the words he or she has discovered, a person who stakes his or her life. Therefore, ‘discovery of the word’ leads to ‘discovery of new life.’

 

□말씀과 나눔 The Word and Sharing

1. 요시야 왕이 온 백성과 더불어 성전 보수를 시작합니다(1~7절)

1. King Josiah begins repairing the temple with all the people (verses 1-7)

1)요시야가 왕이 된 지 열여덟째 해에 단행한 일은 무엇입니까?(3~5절)

1) What did Josiah do in the eighteenth year he became king? (verses 3-5)

3 요시야 왕 열여덟째 해에 왕이 므술람의 손자 아살리야의 아들 서기관 사반을 여호와의 성전에 보내며 이르되

4 너는 대제사장 힐기야에게 올라가서 백성이 여호와의 성전에 드린 은 곧 문 지킨 자가 수납한 은을 계산하여

5 여호와의 성전을 맡은 감독자의 손에 넘겨 그들이 여호와의 성전에 있는 작업자에게 주어 성전에 부서진 것을 수리하게 하되

3 In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the temple of the LORD, saying,

4 Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and count the silver that the people have brought to the house of the LORD, the silver that the gatekeeper has deposited.

5 And it shall be given into the hands of the overseers of the temple of the LORD, that they may give it to the workmen of the temple of the LORD, to repair the breaches in the temple.

 

요시야 왕은 백성이 여호와의 성전에 드린 은으로 성전에 부서진 것을 수리하게 합니다.

King Josiah uses the silver that the people gave to the temple of the Lord to repair the damage to the temple.

 

2) 요시야가 성전 보수 작업자들에게 맡긴 은을 회계하지 않은 이유는 무엇입니까?(6~7절) 2) Why did Josiah not account for the silver he had entrusted to the temple repair workers? (verses 6-7)

6 곧 목수와 건축자와 미장이에게 주게 하고 또 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사서 그 성전을 수리하게 하라

7 그러나 그들의 손에 맡긴 은을 회계하지 말지니 이는 그들이 진실하게 행함이니라

 

요시야가 성전 보수 작업자들에게 맡긴 은을 회계하지 않은 이유는 그들이 진실하게 행함이었기 때문입니다.

The reason Josiah did not account for the silver he entrusted to the temple repair workers was because they were acting truthfully.

 

<나눔 1> 요시야는 왕으로서의 신뢰의 지도력을 보였고, 성전 작업자들은 정직하고 충성으로 응답했습니다. <Sharing 1> Josiah showed trustworthy leadership as a king, and the temple workers responded with honesty and loyalty. 우리 공동체가 지금 보수해야 할 ‘성전’(하나님 나라의 사역)은 무엇입니까? 또한 우리가 주께 받은 사명을 어떤 모습으로 감당하고 있는지 서로 나눠봅시다. What is the ‘temple’ (ministry of God’s kingdom) that our community needs to repair now? Also, let us share with each other how we are carrying out the mission we have received from the Lord.

 

우리 공동체가 지금 보수해야할 ‘성전’(하나님 나라의 사역)은 먼저 예배를 사모하는 마음입니다. 그리고 교회 사역과 주일학교 사역, 병원사역과 교정사역, 외국인 사역과 해외 현지 지도자 협력 사역 그리고 MIC 선교회 사역 등을 모든 우리 가족과 교회 성도들이 더욱 열정을 가지고 주님 주신 달란트로 섬겨서 바울과 디모데처럼 귀한 사명을 우리가 충성되이 감당해야 할 것입니다.

 

The ‘temple’ (ministry of God’s kingdom) that our community must repair now is first and foremost a desire for worship. And our family and church members serve with even more passion the talents that the Lord has given us in the church ministry, Sunday school ministry, hospital ministry, correctional ministry, foreign ministry, overseas local leader cooperation ministry, and MIC world mission ministry, so that we can become faithful people like Paul and Timothy. We must carry out our mission faithfully.

 

2. 요시야가 성전을 보수하다가 율법책을 발견합니다(8~20절)

2. Josiah discovers the Book of the Law while repairing the temple (verses 8-20)

1) 성전에서 발견되 율법책을 읽은 요시야는 어떻게 반응합니까?(8~11절) 1) How does Josiah react when he is found in the temple and reads the Book of the Law? (verses 8-11)

8 대제사장 힐기야가 서기관 사반에게 이르되 내가 여호와의 성전에서 율법책을 발견하였노라 하고 힐기야가 그 책을 사반에게 주니 사반이 읽으니라

9 서기관 사반이 왕에게 돌아가서 보고하여 이르되 왕의 신복들이 성전에서 찾아낸 돈을 쏟아 여호와의 성전을 맡은 감독자의 손에 맡겼나이다 하고

10 또 서기관 사반이 왕에게 말하여 이르되 제사장 힐기야가 내게 책을 주더이다 하고 사반이 왕의 앞에서 읽으매

11 왕이 율법책의 말을 듣자 곧 그의 옷을 찢으니라

 

8 Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the LORD.” Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and Shaphan read.

9 Then Shaphan the scribe returned to the king and reported to him, “Your servants have poured out the money they found in the temple and placed it in the hands of the overseer who has charge of the temple of the LORD.”

10 Then Shaphan the scribe said to the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me the book.” And Shaphan read it before the king.

11 As soon as the king heard the words from the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes.

 

성전에서 발견된 율법책을 읽은 요시야는 자신의 옷을 찢습니다.

After reading the Book of the Law found in the temple, Josiah tears his clothes.

 

2) 왕이 선지자를 통해 하나님의 뜻을 묻자, 하나님은 뭐라고 말씀하십니가?(13~17절) 2) When the king asks God’s will through the prophet, what does God say? (verses 13-17)

13 너희는 가서 나와 백성과 온 유다를 위하여 이 발견한 책의 말씀에 대하여 여호와께 물으라 우리 조상들이 이 책의 말씀을 듣지 아니하며 이 책에 우리를 위하여 기록된 모든 것을 행하지 아니하였으므로 여호와께서 우리에게 내리신 진노가 크도다

14 이에 제사장 힐기야와 또 아히감과 악볼과 사반과 아사야가 여선지 훌다에게로 나아가니 그는 할하스의 손자 디과의 아들로서 예복을 주관하는 살룸의 아내라 예루살렘 둘째 구역에 거주하였더라 그들이 그와 더불어 말하매

15 훌다가 그들에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 너희는 너희를 내게 보낸 사람에게 말하기를

16 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 곳과 그 주민에게 재앙을 내리되 곧 유다 왕이 읽은 책의 모든 말대로 하리니

17 이는 이 백성이 나를 버리고 다른 신에게 분향하며 그들의 손의 모든 행위로 나를 격노하게 하였음이라 그러므로 내가 이 곳을 향하여 내린 진노가 꺼지지 아니하리라 하라 하셨느니라

13 Go and inquire of the LORD for me and for the people and for all Judah about the words of this book that has been found; because our fathers did not listen to the words of this book or do all that was written for us in this book, so the LORD has spoken to us. The wrath that has come is great.

14 Then Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went to Huldah the prophetess, who was the son of Tikwa, the son of Harhas, the wife of Shallum, keeper of the vestments, and dwelt in the second part of Jerusalem. And they spoke with her. Hahaha

15 Huldah said to them, “This is what the LORD God of Israel says: ‘Say to the man who sent you to me,

16 This is what the LORD says: I will bring disaster on this place and on its inhabitants, according to all the words of the book that the king of Judah read.

17 For this people has forsaken me, and has burned incense to other gods, and has provoked me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath is against this place, and it shall not be quenched.”

 

여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 곳과 그 주민에게 재앙을 내리되 곧 유다 왕이 읽은 책의 모든 말대로 하리니

이는 이 백성이 나를 버리고 다른 신에게 분향하며 그들의 손의 모든 행위로 나를 격노하게 하였음이라 그러므로 내가 이 곳을 향하여 내린 진노가 꺼지지 아니하리라 하십니다.

This is what the LORD says: I will bring disaster on this place and on its inhabitants, according to all the words of the book that the king of Judah read.

For this people has forsaken me and burned incense to other gods, and has provoked me to anger with all the works of their hands. Therefore, the wrath I have brought against this place will not be quenched.

 

3) 특별히 하나님이 요시야 왕에게 전달한 말씀은 무엇입니까?(18~20절)

3) What specifically did God convey to King Josiah? (verses 18-20)

18 너희를 보내 여호와께 묻게 한 유다 왕에게는 너희가 이렇게 말하라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 네가 들은 말들에 대하여는

19 내가 이 곳과 그 주민에게 대하여 빈 터가 되고 저주가 되리라 한 말을 네가 듣고 마음이 부드러워져서 여호와 앞 곧 내 앞에서 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라

20 그러므로 보라 내가 너로 너의 조상들에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이 곳에 내리는 모든 재앙을 네 눈이 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 하니 사자들이 왕에게 보고하니라

18 Say this to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD: Thus saith the LORD God of Israel: Concerning the words you have heard:

19 When you heard that I had spoken against this place and its inhabitants, saying, ‘This place will become desolate and a curse,’ your heart was softened, and you humbled yourself before the Lord, even before me, and you tore your clothes and wept; therefore I also have heard you,’ says the Lord.

20 Therefore, behold, I will bring you back to your ancestors, and I will bring you to your sepulchre in peace, and your eyes will not see all the evil that I will bring on this place.’ So the messengers reported to the king.

 

이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 요시야 왕에게 이같이 말씀하십니다. 네가 들은 말들에 대하여는 내가 이 곳과 그 주민에게 대하여 빈 터가 되고 저주가 되리라 한 말을 네가 듣고 마음이 부드러워져서 여호와 앞 곧 내 앞에서 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라 그러므로 보라 내가 너로 너의 조상들에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이 곳에 내리는 모든 재앙을 네 눈이 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 하십니다.

 

The Lord God of Israel says this to King Josiah: As for the words you heard, when you heard that I had spoken against this place and its inhabitants, saying, "This place will become empty and a curse," your heart was softened and you humbled yourself before the LORD, even before me, and you tore your clothes and wept; therefore I also have heard you," says the LORD. Therefore, behold, I will bring you back to your ancestors, and I will lead you to your grave in peace, and your eyes will not see all the evil that I bring on this place.

 

<나눔 2> 요시야 왕은 말씀을 듣자마자 회개하며 옷을 찢었습니다. 왕은 말씀을 흘려듣지 않았고 진실한 마음으로 겸손하게 반응했습니다. <Sharing 2> As soon as King Josiah heard the words, he repented and tore his clothes. The king did not ignore the words and responded humbly with a sincere heart. 혹시 우리 성경묵상이 말씀을 깨닫는 수준에서 멈추는 건 아닙니까? 말씀을 삶 속에서 구체적으로 적용하는 방법에 대해 나눠봅시다. Do you stop at the mere understanding of the Word when you meditate on the Bible? Let us share about specific ways we can apply God's Word to our lives.

 

작은 것과 쉬운 것부터 하나씩 삶 속에서 적용하면 좋을 것 같아요. I think it would be good to apply them in your life one by one, starting with the small and easy things.

 

<나눔 3> 요시야 왕은 자신이 들은 말씀을 공동체와 함께 적용합니다.(참조 23:1~3 1 왕이 보내 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 장로를 자기에게로 모으고

2 이에 왕이 여호와의 성전에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 주민과 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성이 노소를 막론하고 다 왕과 함께 한지라 왕이 여호와의 성전 안에서 발견한 언약책의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고

3 왕이 단 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 언약을 세우되 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와께 순종하고 그의 계명과 법도와 율례를 지켜 이 책에 기록된 이 언약의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 백성이 다 그 언약을 따르기로 하니라)

<Sharing 3> King Josiah applies the words he heard with the community. (Reference 23:1-3 1 The king sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem to him.

2 Then the king went up to the temple of the LORD, and all the people of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests, the prophets, and all the people, both young and old, were with him. The king read all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which were found in the temple of the LORD. heard by the crowd

3 The king stood on the altar and made a covenant before the LORD: “I will obey the LORD with all my heart and with all my soul, and keep his commandments, his laws, and his statutes, so that the words of this covenant, which are written in this book, may be fulfilled.” And all the people followed the covenant. 말씀을 개인적으로 묵상하고 실천하는 것도 중요하지만, 공동체와 함께 나누고 적용할 때 온전한 실천이 이루어질 수 있습니다. 우리가 말씀을 공동체 속에서 어떻게 나누고 적용하는지 이야기해봅시다.

It is important to meditate and practice the Word individually, but complete practice can be achieved when we share and apply it with the community. Let’s talk about how we share and apply the Word in community.

 

우리의 가족과 교회 공동체에서의 식사와 여행 등의 교제의 시간을 통하여 말씀 묵상과 나눔을 실천하면 좋겠어요. I hope that we can practice meditating on and sharing the Word through times of fellowship such as meals and travel with our families and church communities.

주여, 선한 마음으로 말씀을 주의 깊게 듣고 인내로 순종하여 우리의 삶에서 열매를 맺게 하옵소서.

Lord, help us to bear fruit in our lives by listening carefully to Your Word with a good heart and obeying it with endurance.

 

우리 공동체의 지체들에게 예배를 사모하는 마음을 주옵소서! 그리하여 교회 사역과 주일학교 사역, 병원사역과 교정사역, 외국인 사역과 해외 현지 지도자 협력 사역 그리고 MIC 선교회 사역 등을 모든 우리 가족과 교회 성도들이 더욱 열정을 가지고 주님 주신 달란트로 섬겨서 바울과 디모데처럼 귀한 사명을 우리가 충성되이 감당하게 하소서!
