Rely and boast only on God!
2 Kings 20:12-21
When Merodach-baladan, king of Babylon, sent envoys to visit King Hezekiah, King Hezekiah showed them the palace and everything in the kingdom (12-13).
Prophet Isaiah prophesies that all the treasures stored by ancestors will be taken to Babylon(14-17).
King Hezekiah thought it would be fortunate if peace and stability could continue as long as he lived (19)
Repent and pray for the next generation
Do not rely on or boast about material things, but rely and boast only on God.
God, help us not to settle for the peace of this generation, but to repent and pray for the next generation! Let us repent of relying on and boasting about material things, and let us rely and boast only on God!
