□찬양과 나눔 Praise and Sharing

지난주에 어떻게 보냈나요? How did you spend last week?

 

복음을 전하기 위한 열망과 하나님 나라를 향한 소망으로 어떤 사역을 계획하고 시도하지만, 하나님은 우리 뜻과 다른 비젼으로 품고 계시기도 합니다. We plan and attempt certain ministries with a desire to spread the gospel and a desire for the kingdom of God, but God may have a vision that is different from our will. 일이 뜻대로 풀리지 않고 답답하고 조급할 때도 있지만, 하나님이 더 급한 일, 더 나은 일로 이끄시는 때일 수 있습니다. There are times when things don't go as planned and you feel frustrated and impatient, but it may be a time when God is leading you to something more urgent and better. 그럴 때 우리 계획을 내려놓고, 하나님이 보여주시는 새로운 비전을 향해 나아가야 합니다. At such times, we must lay down our plans and walk toward the new vision God shows us. 복음은 그렇게 아시아를 넘어 유럽으로 퍼져갔습니다.

In this way, the gospel spread beyond Asia and into Europe.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 바울은 디모데를 일행에 영입하고 소아시아의 여러 교회를 돌아봅니다(1~5절). 1. Paul recruits Timothy into his group and tours various churches in Asia Minor (verses 1-5).

1) 바울이 디모데에게 할례를 시행한 이유는 무엇입니까?(1~3절)

1) Why did Paul circumcise Timothy? (verses 1-3)

(행 16:1) 바울이 더베와 루스드라에도 이르매 거기 디모데라 하는 제자가 있으니 그 어머니는 믿는 유대 여자요 아버지는 헬라인이라

(행 16:2) 디모데는 루스드라와 이고니온에 있는 형제들에게 칭찬 받는 자니

(행 16:3) 바울이 그를 데리고 떠나고자 할새 그 지역에 있는 유대인으로 말미암아 그를 데려다가 할례를 행하니 이는 그 사람들이 그의 아버지는 헬라인인 줄 다 앎이러라

(Acts 16:1) And when Paul came also to Derbe and Lystra, there was a disciple there named Timothy, whose mother was a believing Jew, and whose father was a Greek.

(Acts 16:2) Timothy was well-respected by his brothers in Lystra and Iconium.

(Acts 16:3) When Paul was about to take him away, some of the Jews in that area took him and circumcised him, because they all knew that his father was a Greek.

사람들이 디모데의 아버지는 헬라인 인줄 알기 때문에 바울은 디모데에게 할례를 주었습니다. Paul circumcised Timothy because people thought Timothy's father was a Greek.

디모데는 어머니가 유대인이었지만 아직 할례를 받지 않았습니다. Timothy's mother was Jewish, but he had not yet been circumcised. 바울은 복음을 전할 때 유대인과 불필요한 마찰을 피하고자 그에게 할례를 시행했습니다.

Paul circumcised him to avoid unnecessary friction with the Jews when preaching the gospel.

 

2) 소아시아에서 복음 전도는 어떠했습니까?(4~5절)

2) What was the evangelism like in Asia Minor? (verses 4-5)

(행 16:4) 여러 성으로 다녀 갈 때에 예루살렘에 있는 사도와 장로들이 작정한 규례를 그들에게 주어 지키게 하니 행15:28, 행15:29

(행 16:5) 이에 여러 교회가 믿음이 더 굳건해지고 수가 날마다 늘어가니라

(Acts 16:4) As he was going through the cities, he gave them the ordinances that the apostles and elders in Jerusalem had decreed for them to observe. Acts 15:28, Acts 15:29

(Acts 16:5) Then the churches were strengthened in their faith, and their numbers increased day by day.

여러 교회가 믿음이 더 굳건해지고 수가 날마다 늘어갔습니다.

The various churches grew stronger in their faith and increased in number day by day.

 

<나눔 1> 할례가 더 이상 구원의 조건이 될 수는 없었으나 유대인들이 디모데의 무할례를 문제 삼기 때문에 바울은 디모데에게 할례를 행했습니다. 복음의 본질을 훼손하는 경우가 아니라면 복음 전파에 더 유리한 방식을 선택할 수 있습니다. 전도를 위해 융통성을 발휘해야 하는 경우를 이야기해봅시다.

 

<Sharing 1> Circumcision could no longer be a condition for salvation, but because the Jews took issue with Timothy's uncircumcision, Paul circumcised Timothy. As long as it does not damage the essence of the gospel, we can choose a method that is more advantageous for spreading the gospel. Let's talk about instances when we need to be flexible for evangelism.

 

술과 담배를 끊는 것이 구원의 조건이 될 수는 없지만, 구원을 얻은 하나님의 백성으로 거룩한 삶을 살기 위해 술과 담배를 끊을 수 있도록 조언해야 할 것입니다. Quitting drinking and smoking cannot be a condition of salvation, but we must give advice so that we can quit drinking and smoking in order to live a holy life as saved people of God.

 

2. 바울이 유럽의 첫 관문인 빌립보에 이르러 복음을 전합니다. (6~15절)

2. Paul reaches Philippi, the first gateway to Europe, and preaches the gospel. (verses 6-15)

1) 바울의 계획과 성령의 뜻이 어떻게 충돌합니까?(6~7절)

1) How does Paul’s plan and the will of the Holy Spirit conflict? (verses 6-7)

 

(행 16:6) ○성령이 아시아에서 말씀을 전하지 못하게 하시거늘 그들이 브루기아와 갈라디아 땅으로 다녀가

(행 16:7) 무시아 앞에 이르러 비두니아로 가고자 애쓰되 예수의 영이 허락하지 아니하시는지라

(Acts 16:6) ○The Holy Spirit forbade them from preaching the word in Asia, so they went through the land of Phrygia and Galatia.

(Acts 16:7) When they arrived before Mysia, they tried to go to Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them.

 

바울은 무시아와 비두니아 등의 아시아 지역에서 복음을 전파하려고 했으나 성령께서 아시아에서 복음을 전하지 못하게 하십니다.

Paul tried to spread the gospel in Asian regions such as Mysia and Bithynia, but the Holy Spirit prevented him from preaching the gospel in Asia.

2) 바울은 드로아에서 본 환상을 어떤 메시지로 받아들입니까?(8~10절)

2) What message does Paul receive from the vision he saw in Troas? (verses 8-10)

(행 16:8) 무시아를 지나 드로아로 내려갔는데

(행 16:9) 밤에 환상이 바울에게 보이니 마게도냐 사람 하나가 서서 그에게 청하여 이르되 마게도냐로 건너와서 우리를 도우라 하거늘

(행 16:10) 바울이 그 환상을 보았을 때 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는 하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라

(Acts 16:8) After passing through Mysia, they went down to Troas.

(Acts 16:9) A vision appeared to Paul at night, and behold, a man from Macedonia stood and invited him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

(Acts 16:10) When Paul saw the vision, we immediately sought to depart for Macedonia, acknowledging that God had called us to preach the gospel to those people.

 

하나님께서 저 사람들(마게도냐, 유럽) 사람들에게 복음을 전하라는 메시지로 바울은 받아들입니다. Paul accepts this as a message from God to spread the gospel to those people (Macedonia, Europe).

 

3) 바울은 유럽의 첫 관문인 빌립보에서 맨 처음 어디를 찾습니까? 첫 회심자는 누구입니까?(11~15절) 3) Where does Paul first look in Philippi, the first gateway to Europe? Who was the first convert? (verses 11-15)

(행 16:11) ○우리가 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고

(행 16:12) 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지방의 첫 성이요 또 로마의 식민지라 이 성에서 수일을 유하다가

(행 16:13) 안식일에 우리가 기도할 곳이 있을까 하여 문 밖 강가에 나가 거기 앉아서 모인 여자들에게 말하는데

(행 16:14) 두아디라 시에 있는 자색 옷감 장사로서 하나님을 섬기는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 말을 듣고 있을 때 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 따르게 하신지라 계1:11, 계2:18

(행 16:15) 그와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 이르되 만일 나를 주 믿는 자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 머물게 하니라

(Acts 16:11) We sailed from Troas and went straight to Samothrace, and the next day we went to Neappoli.

(Acts 16:12) From there we came to Philippi, which was the first city in the region of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We stayed in this city for several days.

(Acts 16:13) On the Sabbath we went outside the gate to the riverside to see if we could find a place to pray, and sat down there and spoke to the women who were gathered.

(Acts 16:14) As a woman named Lydia, who was a vendor of purple cloth in the city of Thyatira and serving God, was listening, the Lord opened her heart to follow Paul's words. Revelation 1:11, Revelation 2 :18

(Acts 16:15) He and his household were all After he was baptized, he invited us and said, “If you know me as a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.” So we urged him to stay.

바울은 기도할 곳을 찾다가 루디아를 만나 복음을 전하여 첫 회심자를 얻습니다. While looking for a place to pray, Paul meets Lydia and spreads the gospel to her, gaining his first convert.

 

<나눔 2> 나의 계획과 하나님의 뜻이 충돌할 때가 있습니다. <Sharing 2> There are times when my plan and God’s will conflict. 지혜로운 사람은 자기 고집을 꺾고 하나님의 인도를 받습니다. A wise person breaks his stubbornness and receives guidance from God. 하지만 어리석은 사람은 끝까지 자기 생각을 관철하려다 낭패를 봅니다. However, foolish people fail when they try to stick to their ideas until the end. 내 생각과 하나님의 뜻이 충돌하여 고민한 경험이 있다면 서로 나눠봅시다. If you have ever experienced a conflict between your thoughts and God's will, let's share it with each other.

 

 

 

 

<나눔 3> 빌립보에 회당이 없었기에, 바울은 기도처를 찾아 강가로 나가서 복음을 전하다가 그곳에서 평생 동역자가 되는 루디아라는 열매를 얻었습니다. <Sharing 3> Since there was no synagogue in Philippi, Paul went to the riverside to find a place to pray and preached the gospel. There, he met a fruit named Lydia, who became his lifelong partner. 난관에 굴하지 않고 주 안에서 새로운 길을 모색했을 때 하나님이 주신 은혜를 이야기해봅시다. Let’s talk about the grace God gave us when we sought a new path in the Lord without giving in to difficulties.

 

파키스탄의 지진과 주위의 반대가 있었지만, 지난 2019년 10월 주님 안에서 새로운 길을 모색하여 방글라데시, 인도 그리고 파키스탄 세 나라의 단기선교여행을 다녀올 수 있었습니다. Despite the earthquake in Pakistan and opposition from those around me, in October 2019, I was able to seek a new path in the Lord and go on a short-term mission trip to three countries: Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's pray together

주여, 갈림길에 섰을 때 우리 자신의 계획을 따르기보다 주님의 뜻에 순종할 수 있게 도와주옵소서.

Lord, help us to obey Your will rather than follow our own plans, when we stand at a crossroad.

저희 교회가 난관에 봉착할 때 주 안에서 믿음으로 새로운 길을 찾게 하소서!

When our church faces difficulties, help us find a new path through faith in the Lord!
