God gave Solomon not only wisdom and intelligence, but also wealth and glory.

God gave Solomon not only wisdom and intelligence, but also wealth and glory.

1 Kings 4:20-34

King Solomon ruled over all the countries from the Euphrates River to the Philistines and the borders of Egypt, and they paid tribute and served him. During Solomon's lifetime, Israel lived in peace under vines and fig trees from Dan to Beersheba. There are 40,000 stables for chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and the local governors provide food for those who are with Solomon and also bring food for the horses and steeds. God gave Solomon much wisdom and intelligence and a broad heart, making him wiser than all people.

God gave Solomon not only wisdom and intelligence, but also wealth and glory (21-25, 29-30). God fulfilled his promise through Solomon to make Abraham a source of blessings, and made Jesus, who came as a descendant of David, a source of blessings to us who believe in Jesus as our Savior. When you seek wisdom like Solomon, God gives you not only wisdom and intelligence, but also wealth and glory. And when you first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, all these things are added to you.

We must enjoy and share what God has given us. We must live a life that enjoys and shares not only material goods and food, but also the gospel and the word of God. It is a selfish thought to enjoy it only for myself. Let us enjoy and share the blessings God has given us so that everyone can enjoy the blessings God has given us.

Solomon had many chariots and horsemen (26). The king begins to disobey God's words not to have many chariots and wives. We must rely on God until the end and live according to the Word of God.

God, please give us the wisdom You gave Solomon and let us live lives of enjoying and sharing the blessings You have given us! And let us rely only on You until the end and live according to Your Word!
