God guides the humble
1 Samuel 9:1-14
When Saul, the son of Kish, from the tribe of Benjamin, and his servant searched for his father's lost she-ass, and was wandering around, but could not find it, his servant asked a man of God to visit this city and tell us the way to go. Saul agrees with this, and prepares a gift and a quarter shekel of silver, meets the girls who come out to draw water, and goes to find the seer's whereabouts.
God leads Saul, who humbly obeys his parents and servants, to an encounter with the seer Samuel. I hope that we too can experience God's good guidance by humbly obeying the words of grown-ups and those around us.
God, help me to experience God's good guidance by humbly obeying the elders and those around me!
