Resurrection of Life and Resurrection of Judgment

 

John 5:16–29

 

The Jews want to kill Jesus because Jesus healed them on the Sabbath and said that my Father worked until now and I also work. This is because Jesus broke the Sabbath and considered himself equal with God.

 

Jesus goes on to say that the Son does what the Father does, since the Son can do it without seeing the work of the Father. And whoever believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. He also says that those who have done good will come out of the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil will come out of the resurrection of judgment.

 

Jesus is the One who heals the sick on the Sabbath and gives true rest. And he is the Son of God, and he is equal to God. However, the Jews are bound by the law and want to kill Jesus because they do not know Jesus properly. So, we should not be bound by the law, but properly know Jesus, who gives us true rest.

 

Those who believe in God who sent Jesus have eternal life and are not condemned, but have been passed from death to life. By faith in God who sent Jesus, believing that those who have done good will come out to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. Let's live a life of doing good with faith in God who sent Jesus!
