God will return again to judge those who commit evil during these last days. He will also create a new heaven and new earth, and call His people to dwell there. This not only includes the Jews but gentiles as well. All who respond with faith will be God’s holy people. They will worship God forever and see the destruction of the wicked.

 

The word and sharing

1. God will return again to judge the wicked.(vv.15~17)

1) What will the Lord’s return look like?(v.15)

 

2) Who will God judge?(vv.16~17)

 

Shraing 1 God will judge wicked hypocrisy. Those who say they worship God but worship idols with their hearts will also be judged. This is because God cannot be deceived by hypocrisy. Let’s share what hypocrisies we are vulnerable(weak) to.

 

2. God opens the way for the gentiles to live as God’s covenant people. (vv.18~21)

 

1) Who does verse 18 and 19 refer to in the last days?(vv.18~19)

 

2) Among the gentiles, what type of servants will God raise?(vv.20,21)

 

Sharing 2 Through Jesus Christ, all nations and people will see God’s glory and worship Him.(see Rom.1:16, Eph. 2:11~22). Being a child of God is no longer determines by heritage and family descent(ancestry). Becoming a child of God is by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Let’s share how we came to believe in Jesus and the process in which we received this grace.

 

3. The people of God will worship him forever in the new heaven and new earth.(vv.22~24)

 

1) What will there always be in the New Heavens and New Earth that God will build?(v.22)

 

2) What will the people worhshiping God in the New Heaven and New Earth see?(vv.23~24)

 

Shraing 3 God is preaparing a New Heavens and New Earth (see Rev. 21:1~8). The community of the Kingdom of God will worship God forever there. Let’s share with each other how the hope of the New Heavens and New Earth affects our lives now.

Lord, please keep our worship and our lives from hypocrisy.

And help us to overcom Corona and other difficulties with the hope of waiting for the New Heavens and New Earth.
