하나님의 말씀을 읽고 묵상하는 일은 즐겁습니다. It is a joy to read and meditate on God's Word. 말씀은 성도에게 구원을 약속하고 소망을 안겨 주며, 성도로 하여금 진정한 안식을 꿈꾸게 합니다. The Word promises salvation to the saints, gives them hope, and allows them to dream of true rest. 그러나 말씀이 우리에게 기쁨만 주는 것은 아닙니다. 말씀이 요구하는 삶을 견지하고 말씀이 명령하는 사명을 수행하는 것은 고생스럽습니다. But the Word does not only give us joy. It is difficult to maintain the life that the Word demands and to carry out the mission that the Word commands. 말씀에는 단맛과 쓴맛이 모두 있습니다. 말씀의 사람은 말씀 때문에 즐겁고, 말씀 때문에 괴롭습니다. There is both sweetness and bitterness in the word. The man of the word is happy because of the word, and he is sad because of the word.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 힘센 천사가 두루마리를 들고 나타납니다(1~7절)

1. A mighty angel appears holding a scroll (verses 1-7)

1) 힘센 천사의 손에는 무엇이 들려 있습니까?(1~2절)

1) What is in the hand of the mighty angel? (verses 1-2)

1 내가 또 보니 힘 센 다른 천사가 구름을 입고 하늘에서 내려오는데 그 머리 위에 무지개가 있고 그 얼굴은 해 같고 그 발은 불기둥 같으며

2 그 손에는 펴 놓인 작은 두루마리를 들고 그 오른 발은 바다를 밟고 왼 발은 땅을 밟고

1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. 2 He had in his hand a little open scroll. He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the earth.

 

힘센 천사가 그 손에는 펴 놓인 작은 두루마리를 들고 있었습니다.

The mighty angel was holding a small, open scroll in his hand.

 

2) 하나님의 비밀이 지체되지 않고 이뤄질 때는 언제입니까(6~7절)?

2) When will God’s secret be fulfilled without delay (verses 6-7)?

6 세세토록 살아 계신 이 곧 하늘과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 땅과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 바다와 그 가운데에 있는 물건을 창조하신 이를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르되 1)지체하지 아니하리니

7 일곱째 천사가 소리 내는 날 그의 나팔을 불려고 할 때에 하나님이 그의 종 선지자들에게 전하신 복음과 같이 하나님의 그 비밀이 이루어지리라 하더라

6 And he swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, the sea and everything in it, that there would be no delay, 7 but in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God would be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.

 

일곱째 천사가 소리 내는 날 그의 나팔을 불려고 할 때에 하나님이 그의 종 선지자들에게 전하신 복음과 같이 하나님의 그 비밀이 이루어집니다.

In the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets:

 

<나눔 1> 힘센 천사의 손에는 봉인이 다 떼어진 두루마리가 펼쳐져 있었고, 그는 일곱째 천사가 나팔을 불 때 최종적인 심판이 지체되지 않고 내려질 것이라고 맹세했습니다. <Sharing 1> In the hand of the mighty angel was an open scroll with all its seals broken, and he swore that when the seventh angel blew his trumpet, the final judgment would come without delay. 악이 심판당할 날이 예정되어 있으니, 절대로 악에게 굴복하지 말라는 명령입니다. 우리를 압박하는 악과 불의는 무엇입니까? It is a command to never yield to evil, for there is a day set for the judgment of evil. What is the evil and injustice that oppresses us?

 

한 선교지에서 마을의 지도자가 자기 종교의 사람들에게 복음을 전하지 말라고 선교사에게 위협을 했습니다. 그리고 하나님의 말씀을 나누는 것을 싫어하는 사람들이 있는데 우리는 이러한 위협과 악에 굴복하지 않도록 해야 합니다.

In one mission field, a village leader threatened a missionary not to preach the gospel to his own religion. And there are people who hate sharing the word of God, and we must not succumb to such threats and evil.

 

2. 천사는 요한에게 두루마리를 가지라고 말합니다(8~11절).

2. The angel tells John to take the scroll (verses 8-11).

1) 요한은 천사에게 받은 작은 두루마리를 어떻게 합니까(10절)?

1) What does John do with the little scroll he received from the angel (verse 10)?

10 내가 천사의 손에서 작은 두루마리를 갖다 먹어 버리니 내 입에는 꿀 같이 다나 먹은 후에 내 배에서는 쓰게 되더라

10 Then I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

 

요한은 천사의 손에서 작은 두루마리를 갖다 먹어 버립니다.

John takes the little scroll from the angel's hand and eats it.

 

2) 두루마리를 먹었을 때 그 맛은 어떠했습니까(10절)?

2) What did the scroll taste like when he ate it (verse 10)?

 

입에는 꿀 같이 다나 먹은 후에 배에서는 쓰게 되었습니다.

It tasted sweet like honey in my mouth, but my stomach became bitter after eating it.

 

3) 두루마리를 먹은 요한에게 천사는 무엇이라고 말합니까(11절)?

3) What did the angel say to John after he ate the scroll (verse 11)?

11 그가 내게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하더라

11 Then he said to me, ‘You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.’

천사가 요한에게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하였습니다.

The angel told John, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”

 

<나눔 2> 하나님의 말씀엔 두 가지 맛이 있습니다. 말씀을 읽고 깨달을 때는 달콤한 즐거움을 맛보지마, 말씀을 실천하려고 하면 어그러진 현실 때문에 쓰라린 고통을 견뎌야 합니다. <Sharing 2> There are two flavors in the word of God. When you read the word and understand it, you will experience sweet pleasure, but when you try to put the word into practice, you will have to endure bitter pain because of the distorted reality. 내가 맛본 말씀의 단맛과 쓴맛을 이야기해 봅시다. Let me tell you about the sweet and bitter tastes of the words I have tasted.

 

내가 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하여 은혜를 많이 받아서 다른 사람들에게 전하려고 했으나 어떤 사람은 싫어하여 경찰에까지 신고하였으나 하나님께서 저를 지켜주셨어요.

I received a lot of grace by meditating on God's word and tried to share it with others, but some people were against it and even reported me to the police, but God protected me.

 

<나눔 3> 두루마리를 먹은 요한에게 천사는 “다시 예언해야 한다”하며 사명을 일러주었습니다. <Sharing 3> The angel told John, who had eaten the scroll, that he must prophesy again and gave him a mission. 말씀에 예고된 구원의 날을 기다릴 뿐만 아니라 불경건한 세상, 고난이 기다리는 세상으로 가서 먹은 말씀을 전파하라는 의미입니다. It means that we should not only wait for the day of salvation that is foretold in the Word, but also go to the ungodly world, a world where suffering awaits, and spread the Word that we have eaten. 말씀을 전하기 위해 어떻게 힘쓰고 있는지 나눠 봅시다. Let's share how we strive to spread the word.

 

때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 복음을 전파하는 일에 힘써야 합니다. We must strive to spread the gospel whether the time is favorable or not.

주님, 말씀대로 살기 어려울 때에도 견디고 극복할 수 있도록 도와주세요.

Lord, help us to endure and overcome even when it is difficult to live by the Word.

 

하나님의 말씀을 나누는 것을 싫어하는 사람들이 있는데 우리는 이러한 위협과 악에 굴복하지 않도록 도와 주소서!

There are those who hate sharing the Word of God, so please help us not to succumb to these threats and evils!

 

때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 복음을 전파하는 일에 힘쓰게 하소서!

Let us strive to spread the gospel whether the time is favorable or not!
