찬송가 420장 너 성결키 위해 Hymn #420: To sanctify you

 

지난주에 잘 지냈나요? How was your last week?

 

8월의 주제는 “내려가지 말라”입니다. (1주 ‘애굽으로 내려가지 말라’, 2주 ‘애굽이여, 망하였도다’, 3주 ‘다시 돌아가게 하리라’, 4주 ‘바벨론, 영원한 폐허가 되리라’). The theme for August is “Do not go down.” (Week 1 ‘Do not go down to Egypt’, Week 2 ‘Egypt, you are ruined’, Week 3 ‘I will bring you back’, Week 4 ‘Babylon will become an eternal ruin’).유다의 남은 사람들은 하나님이 무슨 말씀을 하시든 순종하겠다고 약속했지만, 애굽으로 가야 살 수 있다는 생각을 포기하지 못합니다. The remaining people of Judah promised to obey whatever God said, but they could not give up the idea that they would have to go to Egypt to survive. 예레미야가 ‘유다에 남아 있으라’는 하나님의 뜻을 분명히 전했지만, 그들은 살겠다고 애굽을 선택합니다. Although Jeremiah clearly conveyed God’s will to ‘remain in Judah,’ they chose Egypt to live. 그러나 하나님의 말씀을 거스른다면 어디로 가든지 안전하지 않습니다. However, if you go against the word of God, it is not safe no matter where you go. 불순종을 고치지 않는 한, 예루살렘에 임한 재난은 애굽까지 따라갈 것입니다.Unless the disobedience is corrected, the disaster that befell Jerusalem will follow all the way to Egypt.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 예레미야가 애굽으로 내려가는 백성에게 하나님의 경고를 전합니다(15~18절) 1. Jeremiah delivers God’s warning to the people going down to Egypt (verses 15-18)

1) 하나님은 유다 백성이 애굽에 들어가면 어떤 일을 겪을 것이라고 경고하십니까?(15~17절) 1) What does God warn the people of Judah will experience when they enter Egypt? (verses 15-17)

 

(렘 42:15) 너희 유다의 남은 자여 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희가 만일 애굽에 들어가서 거기에 살기로 고집하면 신17:16, 렘44:12

(렘 42:16) 너희가 두려워하는 칼이 애굽 땅으로 따라가서 너희에게 미칠 것이요 너희가 두려워하는 기근이 애굽으로 급히 따라가서 너희에게 임하리니 너희가 거기에서 죽을 것이라 겔11:8

(렘 42:17) 무릇 애굽으로 들어가서 거기에 머물러 살기로 고집하는 모든 사람은 이와 같이 되리니 곧 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 것인즉 내가 그들에게 내리는 재난을 벗어나서 남을 자 없으리라 렘38:2

(Jer 42:15) Hear now the word of the LORD, you remnant of Judah: Thus saith the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel: If ye persist in going into Egypt and living there, Deuteronomy 17:16, Jer 44:12

(Jer 42:16) The sword you fear will follow you into the land of Egypt, and the famine you fear will follow you into the land of Egypt, and you will die there. Ezekiel 11:8

(Jer 42:17) So it will be with everyone who goes into Egypt and persists in remaining there; they will die by the sword and by the famine and by the pestilence; no one will escape from the evil I will bring on them. Jer 38:2

 

칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 것입니다.

They will die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

 

2) 하나님이 애굽에 부으실 진노는 무엇과 같습니까?(18절)

2) What will the wrath that God pour out on Egypt be like? (verse 18)

(렘 42:18) ○만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 나의 노여움과 분을 예루살렘 주민에게 부은 것 같이 너희가 애굽에 이를 때에 나의 분을 너희에게 부으리니 너희가 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 치욕 거리가 될 것이라 너희가 다시는 이 땅을 보지 못하리라 하시도다

(Jer 42:18) This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Just as I poured out my anger and anger on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so I will pour out my anger on you when you come into Egypt. It will be a disgrace, and you will never see this land again.

노여움과 분을 예루살렘 주민에게 부은 것 같이 유다 백성이 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 치욕 거리가 될 것입니다. Just as anger and anger were poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the people of Judah will become an abomination, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach.

 

<나눔 1> 유다에 남은 백성은 목숨을 구하기 위해 애굽으로 도망치려 했지만, 역설적으로 그 선택은 재난으로 뛰어드는 걸음이었습니다. <Sharing 1> The people remaining in Judah tried to flee to Egypt to save their lives, but paradoxically, that choice was a step toward disaster. 말씀에 순종하지 않으면서 잠시 어려운 상황만 모면하려는 것은 해결책이 아닙니다. Trying to avoid difficult situations for a while by not obeying the Word is not a solution. 말씀에 순종하기 어려웠던 선택의 순간을 이야기해봅시다. Let’s talk about a moment of choice when it was difficult to obey the Word.

 

하나님의 말씀을 문자 메시지로 보내지 말라고 하는 목회자들이 다시 보낸 다면 노회 정치부에서 조치를 취하겠다는 위협이 있었으나 성령님의 인도하심을 따라 하나님의 말씀을 보냈으나 저를 변호하는 이가 있어서 아무 어려움을 겪지 않았습니다. There were threats from the Presbytery Political Committee that if I sent the Word of God again, the pastors who told me not to send the Word of God through text messages would take action, but I sent the Word of God following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and I had someone to defend me, so I did not experience any difficulties.

 

2. 유다 백성은 말로만 하나님의 뜻을 따르겠다고 할 뿐, 정반대로 행동합니다(19~22절).2. The people of Judah only say in words that they will follow God's will, but they do the exact opposite (verses 19-22).

1) 유다의 남은 자들이 분명히 알아야 할 것은 무엇입니까?(19절)

1) What must the remnant of Judah clearly know? (Verse 19)

 

(렘 42:19) 유다의 남은 자들아 여호와께서 너희를 두고 하신 말씀에 너희는 애굽으로 가지 말라 하셨고 나도 오늘 너희에게 경고한 것을 너희는 분명히 알라

(Jer 42:19) Know therefore, O remnant of Judah, that the LORD spake concerning you, saying, Ye shall not go into Egypt: and I also warn you this day.

 

“너희는 애굽으로 가지 말라”고 한 경고

The warning: “Do not go to Egypt”

 

2) 유다 백성은 예레미야를 어떻게 속였습니까?(20절; 참조 5~6절)

2) How did the people of Judah deceive Jeremiah? (v. 20; cf. vv. 5-6)

 

(렘 42:20) 너희가 나를 너희 하나님 여호와께 보내며 이르기를 우리를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 우리 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 우리에게 전하라 우리가 그대로 행하리라 하여 너희 마음을 속였느니라

(Jer 42:20) And ye deceived your hearts, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God, and tell us all that the LORD our God saith, and we will do it.

 

 

(렘 42:5) 그들이 예레미야에게 이르되 우리가 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 당신을 보내사 우리에게 이르시는 모든 말씀대로 행하리이다 여호와께서는 우리 가운데에 진실하고 성실한 증인이 되시옵소서

(렘 42:6) 우리가 당신을 우리 하나님 여호와께 보냄은 그의 목소리가 우리에게 좋든지 좋지 않든지를 막론하고 순종하려 함이라 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 순종하면 우리에게 복이 있으리이다 하니라

(Jer 42:5) And they said unto Jeremiah, We will do all that the LORD thy God shall send thee to us: the LORD be a witness between us, a true and faithful one. (Jer 42:6) That we may obey the voice of the LORD our God, whether it be good or bad, for we send thee unto him: that it may be well with us, if we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

 

유다 백성이 예레미야에게 기도를 부탁하고 하나님의 말씀대로 행하리고 약속하였으나 지키지 않으므로 예레미야를 속였습니다. The people of Judah asked Jeremiah to pray and made promises according to God's word, but they did not keep them, so they deceived Jeremiah.

 

3) 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하는 백성이 맞이할 일은 무엇입니까?(21~22절)

3) What will happen to the people who disobey God’s word? (verses 21-22)

 

(렘 42:21) 너희 하나님 여호와께서 나를 보내사 너희에게 명하신 말씀을 내가 오늘 너희에게 전하였어도 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 도무지 순종하지 아니하였은즉

(렘 42:22) 너희가 가서 머물려고 하는 곳에서 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 줄 분명히 알지니라

(Jer 42:21) And because I have told you today all the words which the LORD your God sent me to command you, yet you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God at all; (Jer 42:22) then know for certain that you will die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you go to sojourn.

 

하나님의 말씀에 불순종하는 백성은 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 것입니다.

Those who disobey God's word will die by sword, famine, and pestilence.

 

<나눔 2> 순종은 ‘말’이 아니라 ‘삶’입니다. 따르겠다고 말하고서 따르지 않는 것은 하나님을 속이는 위선입니다. <Sharing 2> Obedience is not a ‘word’ but a ‘life’. Saying you will follow and then not following is hypocrisy and deceiving God. 혹시 내게도 말만 앞설 뿐, 실천하지 못하는 일은 없는지 이야기해봅시다. Let's talk about whether there are things I do that I only talk about but don't actually do.

 

전도할 때나 전화 통화를 통해 교회 참석하겠다고 말은 했는데, 실제로 참석하지 못한 사람들이 있었습니다. 하나님을 속이는 위선을 버리고 신실한 하나님의 백성으로 변화되기를 기도드립니다.

There were some people who said they would attend church when preaching or on the phone, but they never actually attended. I pray that they will abandon the hypocrisy that deceives God and change into faithful people of God.

 

<나눔 3> 유다 백성은 애굽에 의존했습니다. 유다에 남기보다 애굽으로 가야 살 거라고 생각했습니다. <Sharing 3> The people of Judah were dependent on Egypt. They thought they would survive if they went to Egypt rather than staying in Judah. 힘들 때 무의식적으로 먼저 찾게 되는 “나의 애굽”은 무엇인지 이야기해봅시다. Let’s talk about “my Egypt,” the place we unconsciously reach for first when things get tough.

 

후원을 받아서 파키스탄 등의 어려운 형편에 있는 이들을 도와주었으므로 도움 받은 이들이 계속해서 도움을 요청하는 경우가 있으며 이 때 나의 통장의 잔고를 확인하는 경향이 있습니다. Since I received support and helped people in difficult situations, such as in Pakistan, there are cases where the recipients continue to ask for help, and at such times, I tend to check the balance in my bank account. 어려움이 있을 때 돈이나 사람보다 더욱더 전능하신 하나님을 의지해야 할 것입니다. When we face difficulties, we should rely on Almighty God more than on money or people.

 

□함께 기도드려요 Let's pray together

내 뜻을 내려놓고 하나님의 말씀에 순종하게 하소서!

Let me lay down my will and obey the word of God!

말로만이 아닌 삶으로 순종하는 공동체를 이루게 하소서!

Let us create a community that obeys not only with words but with life!

돈이나 사람보다 전능하신 하나님을 의지하게 하소서!

Let us rely on the Almighty God more than on money or people!
