지난 주에 어떻게 보냈나요?

How did you spend last week?

 

고난이라면 피하고 싶은 것이 인지상정(人之常情)입니다. It is human nature to want to avoid suffering. 그러나 초대교회 성도는 달랐습니다. 그들은 기도할 때 눈앞에 닥친 핍박과 고난을 면하게 해달라거나 어려움이 속히 지나가기를 구하지 않았습니다. However, the early church members were different. When they prayed, they did not ask to be spared the persecution and hardships that were in front of them or for the difficulties to pass quickly. 오히려 고난에 굴하지 않고 담대히 하나님의 일을 수행하게 해달라고 기도했습니다.Rather, they prayed that they would not be discouraged by hardships but carry out God's work boldly. 복음을 전하기 위해서라면 고난도 자처했습니다. They accepted even suffering if it meant that the gospel would be preached(참조, 골1:24 나는 이제 너희를 위하여 받는 괴로움을 기뻐하고 그리스도의 남은 고난을 그의 몸된 교회를 위하여 내 육체에 채우노라 cf. Colossians 1:24 But now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sakes, and I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ for His body, the church) 고난을 면하는 일보다 복음을 전하는 일을 더 중요하게 여겼기 때문입니다.This is because preaching the gospel was considered more important than avoiding suffering. 그리스도인에게 복음은 고난을 피하는 특권이 아니라, 고난을 이기는 능력입니다. For Christians, the gospel is not a privilege to avoid suffering, but the ability to overcome suffering.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 하나님의 말씀을 전하는 것을 막으려고 협박하는 종교 지도자들을 향해 사도들이 담대히 대답합니다.

1. The apostles boldly respond to religious leaders who threaten to stop them from spreading the word of God.

1) 종교지도자들이 사도들을 향해 경고한 이유는 무엇입니까?(16~18절)

1) Why did the religious leaders warn the apostles? (verses 16-18)

이 사람들을 어떻게 할까 그들로 말미암아 유명한 표적 나타난 것이 예루살렘에 사는 모든 사람에게 알려졌으니 우리도 부인할 수 없는지라 요11:47

(행 4:17) 이것이 민간에 더 퍼지지 못하게 그들을 위협하여 이 후에는 이 이름으로 아무에게도 말하지 말게 하자 하고

(행 4:18) 그들을 불러 경고하여 도무지 예수의 이름으로 말하지도 말고 가르치지도 말라 하니

What shall we do with these men? It is known to all who live in Jerusalem that a famous sign has been performed through them, and we cannot deny it. John 11:47

(Acts 4:17) To prevent this from spreading further among the people, let us threaten them not to speak to anyone in this name from now on.

(Acts 4:18) He called them and warned them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

 

이것(유명한 표적)이 민간에게 더 퍼지지 못하게 위협하여 이후에는 이(예수) 이름으로 아무에게도 말하지 못하게 하려고 종교지도자들은 사도들을 향해 경고하였습니다.

To prevent this (famous sign) from spreading further among the public, the religious leaders warned the apostles to prevent them from speaking to anyone in this (Jesus') name in the future.

 

2) 베드로와 요한은 무엇이라고 대답합니까?(19~20절) 2) What do Peter and John answer? (verses 19-20)

베드로와 요한이 대답하여 이르되 하나님 앞에서 너희의 말을 듣는 것이 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 것보다 옳은가 판단하라

(행 4:20) 우리는 보고 들은 것을 말하지 아니할 수 없다 하니

Peter and John answered, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves.”

(Acts 4:20) We cannot help but speak of what we have seen and heard.

 

<나눔 1> 사도들은 복음을 방해하는 권력자들의 협박 앞에서 권력자의 말이 아닌, 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 것을 택했습니다.<Sharing 1> In the face of threats from those in power to hinder the gospel, the apostles chose to listen to the word of God rather than the words of those in power. 세상의 말과 하나님의 말씀 앞에서 선택해야 했던 순간을 생각해 보고 그때의 마음을 나눠봅시다. Let’s think about the moment when we had to choose between the words of the world and the word of God and share our feelings at that time.

 

작년 여름 하나님의 말씀 문자 보내는 사건으로 인하여 노회 정치부에 까지 가는 일이 있었는데 일부 목사님의 권고를 받아들여 보내지 않기로 하였으나 한편으로는 잘 한 일인지 아직까지 고민이 됩니다.

Last summer, I had to go to the political department of the presbytery due to an incident involving sending God's Word text messages. I accepted the advice of some pastors and decided not to send the text messages, but at the same time, I am still worried about whether I did the right thing.

 

2. 풀려난 사도들은 종교지도자들이 한 말을 동료 교인들에게 알립니다(23~31절).

2. The released apostles inform their fellow believers of what the religious leaders said (verses 23-31).

1) 사도들이 종교지도자들의 말을 전했을 때 교회는 어떻게 반응합니까(23~24절)?

1) How does the church respond when the apostles preach the words of religious leaders (verses 23-24)?

사도들이 놓이매 그 동료에게 가서 제사장들과 장로들의 말을 다 알리니

(행 4:24) 그들이 듣고 한마음으로 하나님께 소리를 높여 이르되 대주재여 천지와 바다와 그 가운데 만물을 지은 이시오

When the apostles were released, they went to their companions and told them everything the priests and elders had said.

(Acts 4:24) When they heard this, they lifted up their voices with one voice to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them.”

 

그들이 한마음으로 하나님께 소리를 높여 기도드렸습니다.

They raised their voices in prayer to God with one mind.

 

2) 다윗이 그리스도에 대해 남긴 예언의 말씀은 무엇입니까(25~26절)?

2) What are the prophetic words that David left about Christ (verses 25-26)?

또 주의 종 우리 조상 다윗의 입을 통하여 성령으로 말씀하시기를 어찌하여 열방이 분노하며 족속들이 허사를 경영하였는고 시2:1

(행 4:26) 세상의 군왕들이 나서며 관리들이 함께 모여 주와 그의 그리스도를 대적하도다 하신 이로소이다

And you spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant David, our father, saying, “Why have the nations raged, and the tribes have plotted in vain?” Psalm 2:1

(Acts 4:26) For the princes of the earth are set forth, and the rulers are gathered together against the Lord and against his Christ.

3) 교회가 위협 앞에서 기도한 내용은 무엇입니까(29~30절)?

3) What did the church pray for in the face of threats (verses 29-30)?

주여 이제도 그들의 위협함을 굽어보시옵고 또 종들로 하여금 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하게 하여 주시오며 빌1:14

(행 4:30) 손을 내밀어 병을 낫게 하시옵고 표적과 기사가 거룩한 종 예수의 이름으로 이루어지게 하옵소서 하더라

And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

 

<나눔 2> 어려움에 직면한 초대교회의 첫 행동은 대책 회의가 아니라, 온 힘을 다한 기도였습니다. 어려움에 직면할 때 내가 주로 취하는 행동은 무엇이며, 그렇게 하는 이유는 무엇입니까?

<Sharing 2> The first action of the early church when faced with difficulties was not a meeting of measures, but prayer with all their might. What do we usually do when faced with difficulties, and what is the reason for this?

 

때때로 친한 친구의 상담을 들을 때가 있었는데 무엇보다도 하나님의 도우심을 구하는 기도가 더욱 중요할 것 같아요. There were times when we listened to a close friend's advice, but I think praying for God's help is more important than anything else.

 

<나눔 3> 초대교회 성도는 고난 가운데도 담대히 복음을 전파할 수 있기를 기도했습니다. <Sharing 3> The members of the early church prayed that they would be able to boldly spread the gospel even in the midst of suffering. 오늘 우리가 복음을 전하다가 겪는 어려움은 무엇인지 서로 이야기하고, 난관을 헤치고 복음을 전할 수 있게 해달라고 함께 기도합시다. Today, let us talk with each other about the difficulties we face while preaching the gospel, and pray together that we can overcome the difficulties and spread the gospel.

 

하나님의 말씀을 전할 때 반대에 직면하기도 하지만 성령 하나님으로 충만하여 모든 반대와 고난을 이겨낼 수 있도록 함께 기도드립시다.

When we spread the word of God, we may face opposition, but let us pray together so that we can be filled with God the Holy Spirit and overcome all opposition and suffering.

하나님, 어떤 위협 앞에서도 저희가 하나님의 말씀을 선택하게 하소서!

God, help us choose Your Word in the face of any threat!

저희가 성령 하나님으로 충만하여 모든 반대와 고난을 이겨내며 담대하게 복음 전파하는 공동체를 이루게 하소서!

Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit, overcome all opposition and suffering, and form a community that boldly spreads the gospel!
