Prayer of Faith
Mark 9:14-29
It is said that Jesus appeared in glory on the Mount of Transfiguration and came down from the mountain with his three disciples, Peter, James, and John. The father of the child who was mute and possessed by a demon came to Jesus and said that the disciples were unable to heal him. Jesus scolds this generation for not having faith and says that nothing is impossible for those who believe. The father said, “I believe; help me with my unbelief,” and Jesus healed the child. Later, Jesus tells his disciples that this kind of thing cannot come out except through prayer.
Jesus says that nothing is impossible for those who believe (23,24). After hearing the plea of the father of a child possessed by a mute demon, “I believe; please help me with my unbelief,” God heals the child. When we earnestly ask for help in our lack of faith, our illness will be cured.
Jesus tells His disciples that this kind of thing cannot come out except through prayer (28,29). Let us pray and believe that the ghost will leave and we will be completely healed through prayer of faith.
God, we believe. Help our unbelief! May all ghosts leave, may all illnesses be completely cured, and may we give glory to God!
