Victory of faith, what comes after is even more important

지난 주의 삶을 나눠주세요. Please share your life from last week.

 

믿음으로 얻은 승리도 위대하지만 앞으로 일어날 일이 더 중요합니다.

The victory gained through faith is great, but what happens next is more important.

성도가 자기 삶을 온전케 하는 일은 단회적인 승리로 쟁취되는 것이 아닙니다.

The work of believers to perfect their lives is not achieved through a one-time victory.

그것이 가나안 정복과 같은 거대한 승리라고 해도 말입니다.

Even if it was a huge victory like the conquest of Canaan.

오히려 성도의 온전함은 거대한 승리 뒤에 찾아오는 작은 일상의 행위 속에서 지속적으로 하나님께 붙들려 있을 때 완성됩니다.

Rather, the perfection of a believer is completed when one continues to be held by God in the small daily actions that come after a great victory.

그러므로 이스라엘에게 중요한 것은 가나안 정복 이후의 거룩한 삶입니다.

Therefore, what is important to Israel is a holy life after the conquest of Canaan.

 

□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing

1. 모세가 이스라엘 백성에게 가나안 족속을 진멸해야함을 상기시킵니다(1~5절) 1. Moses reminds the Israelites that they must completely destroy the Canaanites (verses 1-5)

1) 그들이 가나안 족속을 진멸할 때 하지 말아야 할 일은 무엇입니까?(2~3절)

1) What should they not do when they destroy the Canaanites? (verses 2-3)

네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네게 넘겨 네게 치게 하시리니 그 때에 너는 그들을 진멸할 것이라 그들과 어떤 언약도 하지 말 것이요 그들을 불쌍히 여기지도 말 것이며

또 그들과 혼인하지도 말지니 네 딸을 그들의 아들에게 주지 말 것이요 그들의 딸도 네 며느리로 삼지 말 것은

The LORD your God will hand them over to you against you, and then you will completely destroy them. You shall not make any covenant with them, nor shall you pity them.

You shall not marry them; you shall not give your daughter to their son, nor shall you take their daughter to be your daughter-in-law.

 

2) 가나안 족속과 혼인을 금하신 이유는 무엇입니까(4절)?

2) Why did God prohibit marriage with the Canaanites (verse 4)?

그녀가 네 아들을 유혹하여 그가 여호와를 떠나고 다른 신들을 섬기게 하므로 여호와께서 너희에게 진노하사 갑자기 너희를 멸하실 것임이니라

Because she has tempted your son to turn away from the Lord and serve other gods, the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and He will destroy you suddenly.

 

3) 그들이 우상에 행할 일은 무엇입니까(5절)?

3) What will they do to idols (verse 5)?

오직 너희가 그들에게 행할 것은 이러하니 그들의 제단을 헐며 주상을 깨뜨리며 아세라 목상을 찍으며 조각한 우상들을 불사를 것이니라

But this is what you shall do to them: You shall tear down their altars, break their idols in pieces, cut down their Asherah poles, and burn their graven images.

 

<나눔 1> 가나안 정복은 가나안 족속의 죄에 대한 하나님의 심판이었습니다.

<Sharing 1> The conquest of Canaan was God's judgment on the sins of the Canaanites.

그러므로 이스라엘은 그들을 철저히 진멸하여 그들의 죄가 이스라엘에 조금도 스며들지 않게 해야 했습니다. Therefore, Israel had to completely destroy them so that their sins would not seep into Israel at all.

성경은 “악은 어떤 모양이라도 버리라(살전 5:22)”고 명합니다.

The Bible commands, “Avoid every form of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).” 우리 삶에 스며들 수 있는 죄는 어떤 것이 있습니까?

What sins can creep into our lives?

그것을 막으려면 어떻게 해야 합니까? What can I do to stop it?

 

음란과 성적 유혹 Obscenity and sexual temptation

게임과 술 그리고 마약 Games, alcohol and drugs

차단하거나 멀리해야 합니다. 그리고 하나님의 말씀을 가까이 해야 합니다.

You should block it or stay away from it. And we must stay close to the word of God.

 

<나눔 2> 하나님은 특별히 가나안 족속과의 혼인을 강하게 경고했습니다. <Sharing 2> God especially gave a strong warning against marriage with the Canaanites. 친밀한 관계는 강한 영향을 미치기 때문입니다. Because close relationships have a strong impact. 우리의 믿음에 위협이 되는 관계가 있는지, 믿음을 지키기 위해 다른 사람들과의 관계에서 주의해야 할 점은 무엇인지 이야기해봅시다. Let's talk about whether there are relationships that pose a threat to our faith and what we need to be careful about in our relationships with others to protect our faith.

 

2. 모세가 그들에게 하나님의 택하심과 구원의 의미를 상기시킵니다(6~11절).

2. Moses reminds them of God’s selection and the meaning of salvation (verses 6-11).

1) 이스라엘은 다른 민족과 비교할 때 어떤 민족이었습니까?(7절)

1) What kind of nation was Israel compared to other nations? (verse 7)

여호와께서 너희를 기뻐하시고 너희를 택하심은 너희가 다른 민족보다 수효가 많기 때문이 아니니라 너희는 오히려 모든 민족 중에 가장 적으니라

It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples,

 

2) 하나님이 이스라엘을 기뻐하시고 택하신 이유는 무엇입니까?(8절)

2) Why did God delight in and choose Israel? (verse 8)

여호와께서 다만 너희를 사랑하심으로 말미암아, 또는 너희의 조상들에게 하신 맹세를 지키려 하심으로 말미암아 자기의 권능의 손으로 너희를 인도하여 내시되 너희를 그 종 되었던 집에서 애굽 왕 바로의 손에서 속량하셨나니

but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

 

3) 하나님은 어떤 분이십니까?(9~10절)

3) What are the characteristics of God? (verses 9-10)

그런즉 너는 알라 오직 네 하나님 여호와는 하나님이시요 신실하신 하나님이시라 그를 사랑하고 그의 계명을 지키는 자에게는 천 대까지 그의 언약을 이행하시며 인애를 베푸시되

그를 미워하는 자에게는 당장에 보응하여 멸하시나니 여호와는 자기를 미워하는 자에게 지체하지 아니하시고 당장에 그에게 보응하시느니라

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, and repays to their face those who hate him, by destroying them. He will not be slack with one who hates him. He will repay him to his face.

 

<나눔 3>하나님은 작은 연약한 이스라엘을 귀히 여겨 택하시고 부르셨습니다.

<Sharing 3> God cherished the small and weak Israel and chose and called them.

마찬가지로 우리의 초라함에도 불구하고 하나님은 우리를 사랑하십니다. Likewise, despite our shabbiness, God loves us. 내가 경험한 하나님의 무조건적인 은혜와 사랑을 나눠봅시다. Let’s share God’s unconditional grace and love that we have experienced.

 

죄많고 연약한 자임에도 불구하고 창세 전에 선택하여 주시고 예수님의 십자가 은혜와 사랑으로 구원해 주시고 성령 하나님의 도우심으로 예수님을 구주로 믿게 해 주셨어요. Even though we were sinful and weak, God chose us before the creation of the world, saved us through the grace and love of Jesus' cross, and made us believe in Jesus as our savior with the help of the Holy Spirit.

주님, 심령의 죄를 진멸하고, 악에게 틈을 주지 않는 성결한 삶을 살게 하소서!

Lord, help me destroy the sins of my heart and live a sanctified life that does not give space to evil!

작고 연약했던 저희를 사랑하사 교회로 부르신 하나님의 사랑을 기억하게 하소서! Let us remember the love of God who loved us, small and weak, and called us to church!
