Let's follow Jesus!
Matthew 4:12-25
When Jesus heard that John the Baptist had been captured, he went to Galilee to preach the gospel of the kingdom and call disciples. As the prophet prophesied, we saw the light to the people in darkness, and the light shines on those who are in the shadows and the earth of death. And the disciples left their boats, nets, and fathers at Jesus' call and followed Jesus. Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing the sick, and countless crowds followed him from all over the country.
Jesus is the one who shines light to the people in darkness(12~17). Let's fulfill the role of light in the world by following the Lord who leads us from the darkness of sin and death to the light.
He is the one who calls Jesus' disciples to become fishers of men (18-22). The disciples leave their boats, nets and fathers and follow Jesus. We too must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and become faithful disciples who follow the Lord.
Jesus taught in the synagogue, preached the gospel of the kingdom, and healed all diseases and infirmities among the people (23-25). Let us follow Jesus, preach the gospel of the kingdom, and heal all diseases and infirmities among the people in the name of Jesus.
God, help us to follow Jesus, who shines light on the people in darkness, fulfill the role of light in the world, teach us, preach the gospel of the kingdom, and heal all the sicknesses and weak things among the people in the name of Jesus!
