True Happiness and Joy

 

Ecclesiastes 6:1-12

 

The evangelist saw another problem common to people. God gave riches and glory to a certain person, but God did not allow him to enjoy them, and let others enjoy them. Even if a man bears a hundred children and lives a long life, if he dies without enjoyment and is not properly buried, he is considered inferior to an stillborn child. People work hard to get food, but they can't satisfy their appetite. The evangelist asked, 'What is a wise man better than a fool?' 'What kind of gain can a poor man gain if he knows how to live?' It is said that fighting with God is useless because its fate has already been decided long ago.

 

God gave riches and glory to a certain person, but God did not allow him to enjoy them and let others enjoy them. People work for self-preservation and enjoyment, but they do not bring satisfaction to the soul and true happiness in life. Our souls can only be satisfied by the divine grace of God. So, we must live for the heavenly spiritual food that gives true happiness and joy to our souls and for the beautiful glory and happiness of the heavenly Kingdom.

 

It is natural for us to pursue health, riches and fame. However, these things do not allow us to enjoy eternal satisfaction and joy. Because all of them are limited to this earth and cannot be connected to the eternal hereafter. Because it will not satisfy our soul. What are you enjoying the most today?

 

God, let us live not only for health, wealth, and fame on earth, but for the spiritual food of heaven that gives true happiness and joy to our souls and for the beautiful glory and happiness of the heavenly Kingdom!
