색안경을 끼고 사람을 대하면 안경 색깔에 따라 사람이 달리 보입니다. When you meet people through colored glasses, you see them differently depending on the color of the glasses. 만일 누군가가 선입견과 편견을 지닌 채 사람을 대한다면 그 사람을 제대로 이해할 수도, 사랑할 수도 없을 것입니다. If someone treats someone with preconceptions and prejudices, he or she will not be able to properly understand or love that person. 이스라엘 백성이 죄인으로 낙인찍은 한 사람이 있습니다. There is one person whom the people of Israel have branded as a sinner. 세리장 삭개오입니다. 사람들은 주위의 이목 때문에 삭개오와 접촉하는 것 자체를 꺼립니다. This is Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector. People are reluctant to even approach Zacchaeus because of the attention he receives from others. 하지만 예수님은 사람들의 시선을 개의치 않으시고 삭개오의 집에 들어가셔서 그와 교제를 나누시고 그에게 회개의 기회를 주십니다. But Jesus did not care about people's gaze, and entered Zacchaeus' house, fellowshipped with him, and gave him a chance to repent. 예수님이 세상의 약한 자를 품으시는데 그리스도의 몸인 교회가 사회적으로 소외된 사람에게 등을 돌리는 것은 합당하지 않습니다. Since Jesus embraces the weak of the world, it is not right for the church, the body of Christ, to turn its back on the socially marginalized.
□말씀과 나눔 Words and Sharing
1. 예수님을 만나고 싶어하는 삭개오 앞에 방해물이 놓여 있습니다(1~4절).
1. There is an obstacle in front of Zacchaeus who wants to meet Jesus (verses 1-4).
1) 삭개오는 사회적으로 어떤 사람입니까(1~2절)?
1) What kind of person is Zacchaeus socially (verses 1-2)?
1 예수께서 여리고로 들어가 지나가시더라
2 삭개오라 이름하는 자가 있으니 세리장이요 또한 부자라
1 He entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich.
삭개오는 세리장이요 또한 부자라
Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector and was also rich.
2) 예수님을 만나보고 싶은 삭개오 앞에 놓인 방해물은 무엇입니까(3절)?
2) What is the obstacle that stands in the way of Zacchaeus’ desire to meet Jesus (verse 3)?
3 그가 예수께서 어떠한 사람인가 하여 보고자 하되 키가 작고 사람이 많아 할 수 없어
3 And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature.
그는 키가 작았고 사람들이 많아서 예수님을 만나볼 수 없었습니다.
He was short and there were so many people that he couldn't see Jesus.
3) 방해물 앞에서 삭개오가 취한 행동은 무엇입니까(4절)?
3) What did Zacchaeus do when faced with the obstacle (verse 4)?
4 앞으로 달려가서 보기 위하여 돌무화과나무에 올라가니 이는 예수께서 그리로 지나가시게 됨이러라
4 So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.
삭개오는 앞으로 달려가서 예수님을 보기 위하여 돌무화과나무에 올라갔습니다.
Zacchaeus ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus.
<나눔 1> 삭개오는 자신의 체면을 개의치 않고 나무 위로 올라갔습니다. <Sharing 1> Zacchaeus climbed up the tree without caring about his own dignity. 그는 예수님을 보고 싶다는 단순한 생각만으로 여러 방해물을 뛰어넘으려 애썼습니다. He tried to overcome many obstacles with the simple thought of wanting to see Jesus. 우리가 하나님 앞으로 나아가는 것을 가로막는 방해물은 무엇입니까? What are the obstacles that prevent us from approaching God? 그 방해물 앞에서 우리가 취한 행동은 무엇인지 나눠봅시다. Let's share what actions we took in the face of that obstacle.

2. 예수님이 삭개오와 함께 그의 집에 들어가십니다(5~10절).
2. Jesus enters Zacchaeus’ house with him (verses 5-10).
1) 예수님이 삭개오의 집에 들어가시는 것을 본 사람들은 무엇이라고 수군거립니까(7절)?
1) What did the people say when they saw Jesus entering Zacchaeus’ house (verse 7)?
7 뭇 사람이 보고 수군거려 이르되 저가 죄인의 집에 유하러 들어갔도다 하더라
7 And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”
“저가 죄인의 집에 유하러 들어갔다”고 그들은 수군거립니다.
“He has gone to be the guest of a sinner,” they grumble.
2) 예수님을 만난 삭개오에게 어떤 변화가 일어났습니까(8절)?
2) What change occurred in Zacchaeus after he met Jesus (verse 8)?
8 삭개오가 서서 주께 여짜오되 주여 보시옵소서 내 소유의 절반을 가난한 자들에게 주겠사오며 만일 누구의 것을 속여 빼앗은 일이 있으면 네 갑절이나 갚겠나이다
8 And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”
삭개오가 자신의 소유의 절반을 가난한 자들에게 나누어 주고 만일 누구의 것을 속여 빼앗은 일이 있으면 네 갑절이나 갚겠다라고 했습니다.
Zacchaeus gave half of his possessions to the poor, and promised that if he had cheated anyone out of anything, he would pay back four times as much.
3) 예수님이 이 땅에 오신 목적은 무엇입니까(10절)?
3) What is the purpose of Jesus coming to this earth (verse 10)?
10 인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
예수님이 이 땅에 오신 목적은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하기 위해서입니다.
The purpose of Jesus coming to this earth is to seek and save the lost.
<나눔 2> 삭개오의 회개는 말의 회개가 아니라 삶의 회개였습니다. <Sharing 2> Zacchaeus’ repentance was not a repentance of words, but a repentance of life. 단지 죄를 자백한 게 아니라 이전의 잘못을 청산하고 의롭게 살기로 결심했습니다. He not only confessed his sins, but also resolved to make amends for his past wrongdoings and live righteously. 회개에 걸맞게 변화된, 혹은 변화되어야 할 우리의 삶은 무엇인지 나눠봅시다. Let us share what has changed or needs to change in our lives in order to be worthy of repentance.
삭개오처럼 예수님을 만나 돈에 대한 욕심을 버리고 나누어 주는 삶을 살아야 할 것입니다.
Like Zacchaeus, we must meet Jesus, let go of our greed for money, and live a life of sharing.
<나눔 3> 예수님은 삭개오를 ‘세리’도 ‘부자’도 ‘죄인’도 아니, 그저 ‘잃어버린 자’로 여기셨습니다. <Sharing 3> Jesus did not consider Zacchaeus a ‘tax collector’, a ‘rich man’, or a ‘sinner’, but simply a ‘lost person’. 오늘 우리가 주님의 이름으로 찾아야 할 ‘잃어버린 자’는 누구이지, 그들을 어떻게 ‘찾아 구원할’ 수 있을지 나눠봅시다. Let’s share who the ‘lost ones’ are that we must seek in the Lord’s name today and how we can ‘find and save’ them.
물질만능시대에 삭개오와 같은 공허한 마음을 가진 잃어버린 자들을 예수님의 마음을 가지고 편견과 선입견을 버리고 모든 이들이 주님을 만나 변화된 삶을 살도록 다가가서 도와 주어야 합니다.
In this age of materialism, we must approach and help those lost people with empty hearts like Zacchaeus, with the heart of Jesus, by abandoning prejudice and preconceptions, and allowing everyone to meet the Lord and live a changed life.

주님, 우리가 외부의 장애물을 탓하지 않고 적극적으로 주님을 찾도록 도와주세요.
Lord, help us not to blame external obstacles but to seek You actively.
저희가 삭개오처럼 주님을 만나 완전히 변화된 삶을 살게 하소서!
Please let us meet the Lord like Zacchaeus and live completely transformed lives!
저희가 물질만능시대에 삭개오와 같은 공허한 마음을 가진 잃어버린 자들에게 예수님의 마음을 가지고 편견과 선입견을 버리고 다가가서 도와주어 이들이 주님을 만나 변화된 삶을 살게 하소서!
In this age of materialism, let us approach lost people with empty hearts like Zacchaeus with the heart of Jesus, casting aside our prejudices and preconceptions, and help them so that they may meet the Lord and live a changed life!
