The temporary prosperity of the wicked

Job 24:1-25

Job pours out his complaints to God, who allows the wicked who abuse and exploit the poor to prosper and does not intervene. However, he does not think that God will leave them alone until the end. Although the wicked survive, he is confident that they will eventually be punished and disappear along with their sins. However, unlike Job's three friends, he does not think that they should be destroyed immediately.

In Job's view, God seems not even interested in the injustice that occurs on this earth(1,12). However, God is not unconcerned to the injustice in this world. It's just that we don't know why God is letting these things happen now. It may seem confusing, but one day everything will be revealed in detail so we can fully understand it. Let us pray that God will give us wisdom and strength to overcome these difficult times.

Do you see a world where the poor and weak groan and cry out after being abused and exploited by strong, wealthy and evil men? (2-12) Let us accuse the unjust world to God and pray that we may realize God’s will for placing us here. Let us strive to fulfill God's will where we are and change the unjust world.

God, give us wisdom and strength to overcome difficult times! Let us denounce the unjust world and help us realize God’s will for putting us here! Let us fulfill God’s will where we are and change the unjust world! Help us to see Your eternal reign in the darkness!
