Shepherds, cry out and weep!
Shepherds, cry out and weep!
Jeremiah 25:30-38
The Lord roars on high, contends with all the nations of the earth, judges all flesh, and delivers the wicked to the sword. Calamities will come from country to country, and great typhoons will break out at the ends of the earth. Those slain by the LORD on that day will stretch from one end of the earth to the other, but no one will mourn or bury them.
God tells the shepherds to mourn. For the day of their slaughter and of their scattering is at hand. Jehovah makes their pastures waste, and the land is made desolate by His fierce wrath.
God judges all the nations of the wicked world. Looking at the world, it seems that injustice wins and the wicked prevail, but in the end, God will judge all evil and bring about the justice that God wants in the whole world. Let's endure the absurd reality and look forward to the day when God will correct it.
God judges leaders more severely. Leaders are responsible for governing their people with justice and fairness, promoting good, and guarding against evil. So God punishes the leader more severely when the people corrupt. Therefore, leaders must weep for the family, the church, the country, and the whole world.
God, we weep and cry out for our families, churches, nations, and the whole world. Please heal our families, churches, nations, and the whole world!
