God turns things around

 

Daniel 6:16-28

 

Daniel has difficulty entering the lions' den because he prays to God three times a day, as he did before. King Darius wants to save Daniel, but according to the conspiracy of his servants and the king's decree, he orders Daniel to be thrown into the lions' den. But God protected Daniel from the lions' den so he could come out safely. The king puts the servants and their families who had plotted to kill Daniel into a lion's den to death. And the king issued a decree to praise Daniel's God.

 

God protects Daniel, who kept his faith, in the lions' den, and instead, the servants who framed Daniel go into the lions' den and die. We too must not be shaken by the plots of the wicked and trust in God who turns this situation around.

 

We, too, must trust in the faithful God and make the choice of faith in the midst of any difficulties. So let's live a life that exalts God through Daniel's life in this age.

 

God, we praise you for protecting Daniel who kept his faith. Let us also become the Daniel of this generation who do not waver at the plots of the wicked and trust in God who turns the situation around!
