How to live as holy people of God

 

Leviticus 19:19-37

 

God wants the people of Israel to live as God's holy people, so He teaches them various rules and regulations, and does not want them to be assimilated by the evil evils of the Gentiles. We living in the New Testament era cannot and do not need to keep all these rules and regulations literally. Because Jesus opened the way of salvation through the cross. However, we must live a holy life as God's people who have been saved by the grace of Jesus on the cross. We must not imitate the evil culture of the world, but live as the holy people of God and imitate the holiness of the Lord.

 

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).

As the Apostle Paul exhorted, we should not be conformed to this generation, but be transformed by the renewing of our hearts. We must discern the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God through the Word every day, and obey them and live a blessed and prosperous life. .

Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, but meditate on it day and night, and observe all that is written in it, so that you may make your way prosperous (Joshua 1:8).

And we must live according to the guidance of God the Holy Spirit and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

I tell you, walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Gentleness and self-control, there is no law against such things (Galatians 5:22,23).

 

Thank you, God, for your grace in saving us through Jesus Christ. Help us to live daily according to your Word and the guidance of God the Holy Spirit so that we can live as holy people of God in this evil world!
