True Love and Friendship

 

1 Samuel 20:12-17

 

When King Saul is about to kill David, David goes to Jonathan and informs him of this, and Jonathan makes a promise that if his father, King Saul, intends to harm David again, he will inform David first so that he can escape. And Jonathan said to David, asking God to show kindness to himself and his family when he struck David's enemies, and Jonathan loved David as his own life.

 

God wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves and show true love and friendship. In a world full of envy and jealousy, let's overcome each other's difficulties with true love!

 

Even though Jonathan is in a situation where he can become a king, he puts down his vested interests and makes a pact to help David in a difficult situation with sincere love and friendship. Let us also help those in need and give with sincere love and friendship.

 

God, give us true friends like Jonathan and David, help those in need with true love and friendship, and help us to overcome each other's difficulties!
