God answers prayers!

 

Jonah 2:1-10

 

Jonah disobeyed God's command and prayed to God in the belly of the fish. Because of Jonah's suffering, he told the Lord, and God answered him, and the fish vomited Jonah to the ground.

 

God who answered Jonah's prayer answers our prayers. Let us repent and pray to God in the midst of any suffering.

Suffering and death reign in places where they hide from the presence of God. We left God in hopes of freedom, but what awaits us is a hellish reality full of fear of death. Our only hope is that the way back to God is always open.

 

Lord of salvation, I praise You who forgives and restores sinners.
