Jesus our King

John 19:17-30

 

Jesus carries his cross and is crucified with two men at the skull(Golgotha). Governor Pilate wrote “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews” and affixed it to the cross of Jesus. It was written in Hebrew, Roman and Greek. The Jewish leaders demand to write “I am King of the Jews”, but Governor Pilate says he wrote what he wrote.

According to the prophecy of the Bible, the Roman soldiers divided Jesus' clothes and cast lots.

On the cross, when Jesus asked John for his mother, and he said, “I am thirsty,” drank sour wine, and said, “It is finished” and died.

 

Jesus Christ is not only the King of the Jews but also the King of all nations, and he said, “It is finished” when he died on the cross for the salvation of all people. We give thanks and praise for the grace that the Lord Jesus Christ died for us, the King of kings, and let us pray that the Lord Jesus, our King, will rule our lives.

 

Jesus asked John for his mother. We have become brothers and sisters in the Lord. We must work together for the Kingdom and glory of the Lord by forming a united and holy community in the Lord.

 

We ask that our family and church members give thanks and praise to Jesus Christ, the King of kings, for the grace that He died for us, and pray that our King, Jesus Christ, will rule our lives. Also, please pray that we may form a united and holy community in the Lord and cooperate for the Lord's Kingdom and glory.
