사사기 Judges 7:1~14

 

미디안과 맞설 싸움을 앞두고, 하나님께서는 이스라엘 군대의 수를 3백 명으로 줄이시고, 두려워서 선뜻 진군하지 못하는 기드온에게 승리의 확신을 심어 주십니다.

Ahead of the battle against Midian, God reduced the number of Israel's army to 300 and gave Gideon the assurance of victory, who was afraid to advance.

 

하나님께서는 적은 무리를 통해서도 많은 무리를 이길 수 있는 전능하신 분입니다.

우리의 힘과 재능을 의지하기보다는 전능하신 하나님을 신뢰해야 합니다.

God is Almighty God who can overcome many people even with a small group.

Rather than relying on our strength and talents, we must trust Almighty God.

하나님께서는 우리가 우리의 자원에만 의존하지 않고 하나님의 지원에 의지하기를 바라십니다.

God wants us to depend on God's support, not just our resources.

하나님의 일은 하나님의 능력으로 이뤄지는 것이기에, 인적, 물적 자원이 없다고 낙담하거나 포기할 이유도 없습니다.

Since God's work is done by God's power, there is no reason to be discouraged or give up because there are no human or material resources.

하나님의 막대한 지원 앞에서 우리의 자원은 많으나 적으나 별 차이가 없습니다. 중요한 것은 하나님을 의지하려는 우리의 마음입니다.

In the face of God's enormous support, our resources are many or few, but there is no difference. What is important is our willingness to depend on God.

 

중요한 것은 우리 눈에 보이는 현상이 아니라 하나님이 들려주시는 말씀이 실상(實狀)입니다. 기드온의 눈에 보이는 것은 300명에 불과한 자기 군대와 달리 ‘메뚜기 떼처럼, 해변의 모래처럼 많은’ 미디안 군대의 규모였지만, 그의 귀에 들린 것은 ‘하나님께서 미디안을 기드온의 손에 넘겨주셨다’는 말씀이었습니다. 역사가 되고 현실이 된 것은 눈 앞의 상황이 그리는 바가 아니라 하나님의 말씀이 들려주는 바였음을 기억합시다.

What is important is not what we see with our eyes, but the reality of what God hears. What Gideon saw in his eyes was the size of the Midianite army, which was 'as many locusts and as many as the sand on the beach,' unlike his own army of only 300 men. . Let's remember that what became history and what became reality was not what the circumstances in front of us had drawn, but what God's Word had to say.

 

하나님, 저희의 자원과 능력이 아닌 하나님의 지원과 약속을 믿고 말씀에 순종하게 하소서!

God, help us to believe in your support and promise and obey your Word, not our resources and abilities!
